MARKETS BREAK DOWN ON CNBC REPORT OF LIQUIDITY ISSUES IN TREASURY MARKETS

Steve Liesman interrupted an interview with Chris Whalen to report on liquidity issues in treasury markets, causing 50 cent spreads and unprecedented lack of offers, as people enter the funnel and board the ark. While this might be humorous to you and I, markets are having a fucking heart attack over this — barreling back towards the lows, off by 7%.

Margin calls are going to happen and fuckers like in the video below will be WIPED CLEAN from the surface.

For most readers here on the site, this sell off is a blessing — the great equalizer is upon you. If you play your cards right and exert some patience, you can, in fact, make a fortune off of the misery of others.

I am not buying dips. In fact, I am expecting a retest of the lows and perhaps lower.

Why doesn’t the fed RAISE interest rates by 1%
so that people want to BUY treasuries for the yield?

That would rightfully LOWER the price of US Bond!

Oh. That makes too much sense.

Wow. Take a look at the first chart: Put/Call ratio near 1.

While that is historically high, it’s still incredible that peopel are jumping in (with calls) saying, “This looks like a good time to leverage bullishly”

I tried that in 2000, and it didn’t work. Of course, I only had 1-2 years of every kind of bullsih bet “working.” Feel bad for the milleniasl that have no idea why something they’ve done with near 100% success for 11 years is blowing them up.

Agreed, but here’s something to think about: the Coronaviurs was an accident, (probably…), but Russai decison and Saudi Arabia’s response were **purposeful actions**

Now I don’t know much about MBS’s stretegic thinkign, but Putin was an Integgence agent. Surely he thoguht about the various consequences of his actions. Perhaps he undrestiamted the brashness of the Saudi Prince and didn’t didn’t anticpate that the Saudi’s woudl go down the mass suicide road.

PS. WHO the fuck still thinks this “might be” a pandemic?

Thinking about borrowing against BTC and buying some altcoins. The bet being cryptos bounce before the stock market.

Last week the stock market got a shot over the bow; today, a cannonball thru the midsection.

I can’t imagine what the Fed will do; but they’ve been clever for years.

gold has resisted this sell off. But I think a large amount of leverage hides behind gold, which in and of itself, is the target of this correction. If we are so lucky its only a correction.

The only safe haven in last (long) while is US treasuries.

You are all way too bearish here – we may go a bit lower but going long here will be an excellent long term move.

I’m an old buy the dip long term guy, not a trader, but I bought some AAPL and ZM shares. Also bough some GLD calls last week, first time buying options in a year.

Who says that the US doesn’t liek socialism?

“Beyond funding for virus testing and treatment, the most direct avenue is aid to corporates and small businesses, especially in sectors hit by the virus shock.” -Goldman Sachs

Is this anothr bill that the Millenials will get so that the Baby Boomers stock portfolios are repaired? This is waht happens when Milllenials don’t vote. Status-Quo Joe is goign to be for this one, just liek the FInacial Bailouts wher no one went to jail and executive kept their bonus.

Bernie’s going to have to go after Obama’s “Too Big to Jail” policy if he really wants to win.

        GODDAMMIT

I don’t want to start another shit-throwing war (how do you win?) right after ending one.

        (breathe….)

Ok, so I’ll assume that you didn’t intentionally misinterpret my post and that you have an IQ high enoguh to follow this, so here goes…

GOldman, the FED, etc, do not care about a class of peopel based upon their AGE, but it just HAPPENs that the class that has benefitted the most from falling interest rates (since the early 80s) and favorabel investemtn tax polict has been the Baby Boomers. They just got lucky that way.

However, I don’t think I have to provide sources to to prove that the baby boomers have more wealth by far than any other generation, and are the biggest calss of peopel that actually vote. For both of these reasons, econmic policy tends to favor them.

Why do you think Social Scurity isn’t getting fixed, even thoguh there is 100% agreement that it WILL run out of money (the only question is when)?

Alos, any unpaid federal debt automatically falls on future generations, ie, Millenilals.

This is CLASS warfare., but is also a demographic warfare due to which demographics dominate each class.
