ONLY THE FRESHEST OF FISH

Part of the charm of Exodus is that I do not require anyone to know anything about stocks. Unlike other gurus who placate the mobs with idle promises of education and wealth, Le Fly only asks that you know how yo eat. Knowing that trading well is just as a genetic trait as running very fast, Le Fly does not give false pretenses and needless hope to an otherwise slow set. On the high seas in a pirate vessel outfitted for whale hunting, Le Fly brings his members back the freshest of fish and shoves it right into their mouths on a daily basis — to provide sustenance to a hungry hungry crowd.

I give you STAMP, +30% in the pre-market — today’s FRESH FISH on the pirate vessel S.S. Pelican.

If I’m only as good as my last trade, how am I doing now?

SAAS ISN’T SAFE UNTIL THESE STOCKS BOTTOM

Yes, I’m obsessing over this sector. Fuck off and leave me alone. There are a thousand other sectors to buy (maybe not that many, but fuck off) — but this is the most important. The cloud humpers are where the VC fuckers are positioned and the entire mood of the market relies on the daily fluctuations of CRM.

Over the past 3 months, this sector has been ravaged. I blame the We Work catastrophe. But here are a few names for you to watch, canaries in coal mines if you will.

ZS
CRWD
ZEN
HUBS
WDAY

Three month returns on those stocks range from -27% to -50%. People who are long in size aren’t men anymore. Women who are long those stocks are now thinking about finding a rich man and becoming a house wife. There isn’t any mercy on Wall Street. I just booked a 13.5% loss in NET because of this hatred for cloud stocks. The whole world has gone crazy and I’m sure we’ll all reflect back on these dark days with comedic relief. We will be fat and rich and eating rare steaks, pushing plumes of cigar smoke into the ceiling tiles, thinking “boy what a stupid cunt that person was for selling out of those SAAS stocks in October of 2019.”

Is It Safe to Buy $SAAS Yet?

The short answer is No!

Those fucking bastards have been lit up the past three months. So many weak hands got cut off and the ones who are still long are either insane or on the verge of spilling over. Just one more tip and half the shareholder bases are gonna vomit it all up. I’d be much happier buying into the sector after a severe flush, the type of crash that would make one think the devil himself was behind the pin action.

Can the market trade higher in spite of SAAS?

It can do whatever the fuck it wants to do. One thing is for certain and this goes without saying, the SAAS business model is easily the best in tech. I just don’t want to get caught naked out there with all of them towels snapping around.

Today I sold SGEN for a 17% gain, PIR for a 15% loss, and NAV for a 8.9% gain.

As you can see, I’m not fucking around here.

Stocks Are Going to Trade Higher

Enough of the bullshit. Rates are climbing because optimism and fuck the Fed. Rates are climbing, so you need to steer clear of defensive stocks and gold. Rates are climbing you fucking faggots. Rates are climbing.

Happy Monday to all of you out there, alcoholics and vegans alike. We’ve got ourselves a nice rally on our hands and nothing can stop it. What you need to do is quit trying to time markets and just get in. Fuck your watchlists — you need exposure ASAP. The holidays are just around the bend and next thing you know — BAM! — Thanksgiving brings forth the Turkey Gods to pour some thick gravy down your gullets. You cannot possibly think it makes sense to short American into Pecan Pie — do you?

That’s what I thought.

I got a runner today, SGEN, purchased on Friday. Consider this my “fuck you” and Monday morning “hello” trade.

Chaos is a Foil

I used to purposely get to work late in the early 2000’s, because the opening bedlam caused me to make poor decisions — reacting to momentum oriented moves that lured in my inner-gambler. At my core, I chase what is trending. Because of this trait, when something is popping off, I am generally early to that move and often catch large percentage gain winners. This of course works against me in spades during chop, periods when the market is uncooperative and uncertain — such as now.

If you were to only listen to CNBC, Bloomberg and ingest the news flow from CNN, Fox, and MSNBC — you’d declare we were about to enter end of times. It’s a funny thing, pessimism. Some of histories greatest artists had this maudlin viewpoint, almost catastrophic, on humanity, which onto itself is narcissistic. Sure, things are fucked now and the kids all think they’re gay and politicians seem to be more corrupt and brazen now than at any point in history. But that might also be the byproduct of social media and transparency. Money and power are corruptible weapons that can ruin the souls of the best of us. Do not think for a second your preferred politician cannot be marginalized, because they can and will. This game you’re intently interested in now has been taking place since the beginning of government — the ebb and flow between the elites and the masses.

During Roman times, they pitted poor strong men against each other in the gladiator pits. Today they pit all of us against one another on Twitter. It’s fucked up, but it keeps us distracted and the roads paved and the war machine humming.

At times this can become depressing and turn lives upside down, crest-fallen from differences between people about things they cannot control. Think about it, you’re arguing with a person you care about because he or she believes in something that he or she can never affect or change. Totally and utterly useless. This is chaos and it is a foil, the division needed to keep people focused on A instead of the bastard B who’s really up to no good.

My Review on Living Down South, So Far

Living in the south is definitely different from up north. The guy next door to me is a fucking lunatic. I usually walk my dogs really late, like after 11:30pm — because that’s when I like to walk — when no one is outside. And this guy comes speeding out of his fucking garage like a Nascar pit at 100mph. Big Joe Muscle Car, speeding up and down the avenue. This fucking guy spent the next 15 minutes riding around the neighborhood like it was his fucking racetrack, going at a minimum 125mph. My coyote doesn’t like loud cars or noises and usually lunges at people who look at her sideways. When this fuck sped down the avenue where she was walking — she had a fucking fit and tried to jump on his windshield going at 190mph.

Then, by the time we were done with the walk, I see Batman re-enter his garage like nothing happened. The entire neighborhood probably wants to kill this guy and I know where he lives.

The other thing down south that is different are the Halloween decorations. It’s like a bunch of crafting Moms got together to create elaborate designs for their homes, obviously competing against one another. In all of my years in NY and NJ, I have never seen Halloween lights. Here, it’s like fucking Christmas, but much more. They’ve got gigantic wooden structures made from scratch and the entire homes boarded up to convert their little mansions into haunted houses. It’s truly hilarious. The Indians here, however, they don’t give a shit about Halloween and must think we’re all nuts — fucking graveyards with skeleton dogs in them and giant creepy witches sitting on rocking chairs on large souther porches. These people are fucking nuts.

My kids tell me the schools are pretty even keeled, no social hierarchy like up north. Kids are fucking normal, but the teachers have a thing about tardiness. Three latenesses and BAM — you’re in after school detention. Up north, no one gave a shit about lateness.

The food is great, sort of. I live in Cary, which is a highly populated, high growth off-shoot of Raleigh. All of the hipster shit is in Raleigh. People around here think it’s the “big city.” The food reviews on Yelp are too generous. I guess because I’m accustomed to Michelin tier cuisine, the stuff that passes off as “the best” is rather middling to me. But there are a fuck tonne of options and I haven’t even scratched the surface on most of the eateries here. I like to canvas every area I live in and eat in every restaurant in a 25 mile radius. There are hundreds of places to try here, so it’ll take me a while.

There isn’t a lot of southern pride down here, more northerners who moved down here in search of a better life, actually. The people on the fucking highways, however, are all race car drivers — much worse than NYC. I can do 80mph in the right lane and still get tailgated. If you need to merge into a lane because you made a mistake — GOOD LUCK WITH THAT BUDDY. You better be willing to crash for that merge. People here drive angry and do not permit others to merge. That’s just the way it is.

Today I’ll probably walk around Raleigh or maybe Durham, the home of Duke University — which has a great campus. They definitely copied the fuck out of Princeton, but people around here view it as the “Ivy League of the South”, which is sort of like a major league baseball team for retards. Just kidding, Duke is a great school, smart people, believe me.

I Broke a Rule Today — Because We’re Going Higher Soon

I’m down more than 10% on my stupid fucking PIR position. I hate the store and hope it dies. I am only long for a trade, a trade that has gone wrong ever since I bought the damn thing. But I’m fairly convince this rout in high growth and the overall weakness in the market will end soon.

Aside from the fact the Turkey Gods are merely a month and change away, a joyous time of year when people shove copious amount of meat down there necks — washed down with thick brown gravy. It’s important to remember that things never last, not even horrible horribles. As such, it would bemuse you to know that I am thinking about heading back into SAAS soon.

We’re down 3 months in a row, losses in the -25% range. In the history of SAAS, we’ve only has 3 other declines of this magnitude and each time, after the 3rd month, the fucking stocks rose like wild bastards. The worst of the declines happened in March of 2014, a grisly affair — down 36%. I got fucking RAPED in that market and can still feel the stings of battle. But do not fear my melancholy faggots, the time is close to when bears get their heads sawed off by longs.

Plans for the weekend entail a sojourn to Chapel Hill, maybe an eatery or two in Raleigh. If you should happen to come across me there, please, no autographs.

I shed some gains in my trading, made 22bps in my Quant, an overall nothing-burger type of day. Best case, markets plunge out Monday and we buy the dip, gloriously.

HAGW.

High Growth Stocks Shattered to Pieces

SAAS-FAGS have been annihilated and removed from the board of play.

SAAS Basket

Also, my Bubble Basket in Exodus — torn to pieces

Not much analysis needed here — this is merely an acceleration of what has been burning slowly. Ever since the We Work debacle, high valuation stocks have been getting hammered. Now if this is anything like 2014, the last time SAAS stocks were ripped, you will see a rotation into other areas of growth — but it won’t ruin the market. I have a hard time believing we’re toast here. As a matter of fact, this is probably a good time to buy.

You know how the old saying goes: “Markets do not bottom on Fridays.” Ergo, lower we go…for now.

ALERT: $JNJ RECALLS BABY POWDER AFTER CANCER CAUSING ASBESTOS FOUND IN TALC

Every parent has used JNJ talcum powder for their children when they were babies. Little did you know, fuckers, you were breathing in cancer. How fucking nice.

JNJ has repeatedly denied that their talc had cancer causing asbestos in it, until now. Even with this disclosure, they leave open the caveat that it could be, in fact, a counterfeit or fraudulent sample. I suppose some fucking mess lawyer snuck into the JNJ factories and dropped some asbestos in it. This is more House Johnson muddying the waters. Make no mistake, baby powder is fucking toxic.

Johnson & Johnson initiates voluntary recall in the United States of a single lot of its Johnson’s Baby Powder in response to FDA test indicating the presence of sub-trace levels of chrysotile asbestos contamination (no greater than 0.00002%) in samples from a single bottle purchased from an online retailer (136.17) Despite the low levels reported and in full cooperation and collaboration with the FDA, JJCI is initiating this voluntary recall of Lot #22318RB of Johnson’s Baby Powder, from which the tested sample was taken. In parallel, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. (JJCI) has immediately initiated a rigorous, thorough investigation into this matter, and is working with the FDA to determine the integrity of the tested sample, and the validity of the test results. At this early stage of the investigation, JJCI: Cannot confirm if cross-contamination of the sample caused a false positive. Cannot confirm whether the sample was taken from a bottle with an intact seal or whether the sample was prepared in a controlled environment. Cannot confirm whether the tested product is authentic or counterfeit.

The term “asbestos” refers to six different minerals. The term “asbestiform” refers to minerals with a crystal-like structure that resembles asbestos and shares properties with asbestos. Examples of asbestiform minerals include erionite, richterite, winchite and taconite.

Geologically, talc and asbestos can naturally form alongside each other. Not every talc deposit is contaminated with asbestos. The ones that are contaminated tend to contain tremolite or anthophyllite, both forms of amphibole asbestos, rather than chrysotile, which is the serpentine form of asbestos.

Like talc, the mineral vermiculite commonly forms alongside asbestos and asbestiform minerals. The infamous vermiculite mine in Libby, Montana, was contaminated with tremolite asbestos and the asbestiform minerals richterite and winchite.

Whether a particular talc product contains asbestos has everything to do with its geologic source. If the talc deposit contains asbestos or asbestiform minerals, the products made with that talc are likely contaminated with asbestos.

Also, just recently, the fuckers lost another case — GUILTY of cancer causing baby powder. How insidious is this?

Health care giant Johnson & Johnson suffered another major legal defeat last month when a New Jersey jury sided with four people who claimed the company’s talcum powder products contained asbestos and caused their cancers.

The verdict was handed up in a courtroom just miles from Johnson & Johnson’s corporate headquarters in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The jury ordered the company to pay plaintiffs $37.2 million in compensatory damages. The same jury is expected to consider punitive damages later this month, according to a Bloomberg report.

Douglas Barden, 65, David Etheridge, 57, D’Angela McNeill-George, 41, and Will Ronning, 46, said they developed mesothelioma after inhaling asbestos allegedly present in Johnson’s Baby Powder and Shower-to-Shower talcum powder products. The group claimed they were repeatedly exposed to the cancer-causing minerals through the talc-based powders their parents used on them when they were children.

That’s right — they got mesothelioma because their parents used baby powder on them when they were babies. We need a hard reset.

JNJ is off by 3.2%.

These Are the Very Best Stocks

These are the top rated large cap stocks rated by Sharpe ratio in Exodus. Think of it as a longer term technical indicator. These are the best stocks, not just because they go up and everyone likes them, but because I said so.
