I bought a fuckload of high beta, scandalous trading stocks today — because we’ve bottomed. Although sour on the SAAS sector last week, today they look perfect, just like Trump’s call to the Ukraine. Because of this, I bought a variety of names. But I also hold onto several that I bought the other day.
I can ramble on about how awesome of a job it is to trade or how I’ve always known this to be the single best talent of mine, even greater than writing good prose. But that would be repetitive, so I won’t bore you with that. What I will tell you is that stocks are good, and do not call the “stonks” you fucking millennial retards. Also, let’s stop pretending technical analysis works — because it doesn’t. What you’re actually doing when examining charts is finding patterns based on human psychology. Look, the kerosene lamp produced light, but electricity did it better. You sifting thru charts, by hand, is stupid and you should be whipped at the gibbet for it. Real men, men of industry and substance, subscribe to Exodus to automate this process.

***Short-term*** technical analysis works **because** it reflects human psychology.
This is why using it on a long-term cahrt doesn’t work, becuase the macroeconmic conditiosn are so different, the human reactions will be too. Not to mention that a 30-yr old will react to the market differntly when they are 50, and a 40-yr old that has seen two giant market crashes will ract differntly than a 30yr old that has seen one continuousa 10 year bull amrket or a 60 yr old that has seen falling interst rates their whole workign life.

All bravado aside, it’s not all bad news. INTC is responding positively.
Still, AMZN is 4x bigger and their implied view of cpnsumer retail holiday spenidng (“Operating income is expected to be between $1.2 billion and $2.9 billion, compared with $3.8 billion in fourth quarter 2018.”) can’t be good for anyone.

Seems like a despearate attmept to save AMZN and the market. My Technical Analysis, says AMZN doesn’t get past 1750 for ata least a few weeks ***at best***, but will probbaly hit $1600

The problem is that Q3 wasn’t nearly as awful as Q4 guidance

Nov VIX futures are at 15.65, whilte they were at 17 last week. Of course, VIX itself is also lower, but all the same I rather be long when VIX is at 13, and futures at 15.5, then VIX at 15, and VIX futures at 17.

I’ll also remind faithful readers that despite all the analyst tap-dancing about, not only was Q3 and Q4 income/cash flow both misses, but Q4 **top-line revenue** guidance is also a big miss. Try as you might, there is no good explanation for that. Which of course is why analyst ignored this. Increasing expenses is one thing, but lower sales is a whole differnt ballgame,
