THE CHAMPAGNE IS FLOWING

Fuck Syria. Fuck impeachment. Fuck your opinions on anything at all. I care about my fellow man, but not his opinions. I discussed getting right for trading this morning, and most of that is mental health. We live in a world of depression and fucking nut jobs. Do not fall into the thick amber of narratives, beholden to a group of people. I mean this in more than just the political sense. I am not a republican or a democrat. I do not have blanket opinions on anything and I am open to change, since it is the essence of the evolutionary spirit. I am a cynic, calling into question everything that is told to me — and for good reason.

Some of you might get downtrodden after learning you’ve been lied to your entire life. Everything you thought was sacred was expendable and everything meaningless invaluable. But once you can fully extricate yourself from the rat race and truly live without fear of rebuke — you will be free. With this freedom, you can be happy enough to thrive.

What good is your success if you’re living a life tethered to the beliefs of others?

That said, markets have broken backs to the upside, in spite of the news and all of the horrible things that were supposed to happen. It’s as if the trick was laid bare on purpose.

A black swan is something you think isn’t possible, and don’t see coming. For example, a missile attack on Saudi Arabia’s main oil refinery.

BTW, when you combine that missile attack, the (counter) attack on an Iranian oil tanker (both within the last 5 weeks), and the great macro-economics that the stock market implies, it is obvious why crude oil is sitting
19% below its 6-month high and
31% below its high from ~1 year ago

Fly, good advice (“live without fear of rebuke…What good is your success if you’re living a life tethered to the beliefs of others?”)

I agree. Fine rant. But the thing to watch for now is the potential for disruption in the beliefs, not of random individuals, but of the masses.

Trump must know stuff ..given his position. And he has a platform from which to spout off. So he SHOULD be untouchable …but they seem to be trying to get him. Maybe it’s all just a show for us plebs; if not, these are dangerous times for Trump …

Indeed – disruption of beliefs. It can happen fast.

Today’s Markets: 1,000 cars are barreling down the highway at 75, 2 car lengths apart. Road conditions are good. Everyone’s cool. They’ve be doing this every day for years; no problems.

One day someone will look at their phone a few seconds too long, a deer darts onto the road, something falls off a truck, someone just plain panics. Everything’s ok can turn to terror in seconds. Maybe we have another 5 years? We’re gonna find out.

Good blog posts from Fly lately; and thoughtful comments from readers.

Wading into the political- Democrats and Republicans have been acting like gang members for many years now, instead of running a government for all Americans.

In Trump’s case, totality of his actions may be getting to be a bit much for nearly everyone in Congress. Unless Trump intends to be dictator for life, eventually members of Congress will have to resolve what Trump left behind.

As an individual that has never voted for any politcian in his life, and leans libertarian in views…trump is whistleblowing all of the gang members in his own way, shape and fashion it seems. Something these wannabe paid for life politicians haven’t seen before and are losing their shit, desperately grasping for power instead of thinking about running our country right. Which was honestly probably not their intention to begin with

It’ll take years for the USA to dig itself out of the mess Trump will leave behind.

      Trump is a symptom.

True, he made thigns a LOT worse, a lot faster.but if Hilalry had been elected instead, how many less people would have even been looking for shovels?

Status quo isn’t going to cut it anymore. Obama was “Hope and Change,” but so was Trump for his voters (in a delusional way)..
