Attention Bears: Prepare for Execution

What a glorious morning. Futures are higher by 112, the air is both brisk and clean, and the melodious tunes of 17th century classical music reverberate throughout House Fly. I am prepared to book profits on my SOXL trade this morning. Even though I should hold for another day, maybe two, I don’t want to be greedy. One in the hand is always better than two in the bush.

After all, I bought it on Friday and now I’m +21 points, nearly 14% from my basis. I think it’s fair to say that I nailed this trade. As for the Exodus Quant SPY trade, I am scheduled to sell it tomorrow — due to the data for that signal. In the past, I would hold for 5-10 days. But this signal is saying the optimal holding period is just 3 days.

My other longs will likely remain intact, as I am mostly long oil in my trading account. I’m a big fan of the black and feel its scarcity will increase in the coming weeks — thanks to the MUH driving season.

Lads, I’ve been doing this a very long time and this is just about as good as it gets.

Cryptos are getting fucking manhandled this morning, especially Ripple — off by 14%.

Here are this morning’s standouts.

Anyone want to speculate what Kim Jung Unh’s demands are in exchange for Denuking?

I feel sorry for the pig that has to fornicate with Trump on camera in exchange for Kim denuking…

    …poor Rosie O Donnel.

Valuation math for retards: “Ripple owns about 60 billion of the 100 billion XRP ever made, bringing its market cap based on holdings alone close to $62 billion.” as of 2:04 p.m. ET Monday, March 5.

Ripple is little different from what we have today: transactions verifed by a group of ***trusted*** 3rd party Validators..

Validators aren’t paid (unlike “miners”), but instead “the primary incentive to run a validator is to preserve and protect the stable operation and sensible evolution of the network.” Because we know that how corporations work: selflessly for no profit, but to preserve the system.

There are certainly advantages for an internal group that wants to run their own validator (if I understand it right), but it will never be truly decentralized.

Also, the fact that Ripple holds so much of the XRP float is a big disincentive. If anything, it seems the the XRP in escrow should be gradually distributed (given) to Validators in proportion to how many transactions thye Validated.

Ripple was designed to improve costs of cross border payments.

The biggest obstacle isn’t crypto’s lack of usefulness, it’s the ease of which people can reproduce the same thing and dilute the market share. Just because a single cryptocoin is finite, doesn’t mean the supply is finite I feel anyone can reproduce the same thing, call it something else and hype it up as the new thing.

The winner on these things is going to come down to branding/marketing/ simplifying the concept and viral marketing and first to market (or first to brand) on a given idea… as well as winning patents and finding ways to eliminate imitators. I have no idea who is going to do that and how.
