It appears the Deputy UN Ambassador for North Korea just warned oa imminent nuclear disaster. Kim In Ryong said, the situation with the US “has reached the touch-and-go point and a nuclear war may break out any moment.”
He complained to the UN about Trump’s menacing ways, claiming he’s up to no good, designing schemes to decapitate N. Korea’s supreme leader — calling it a “secret operation aimed at the removal of our supreme leadership.”
His message to Trump and the American people is clear.
“The entire U.S. mainland is within our firing range and if the U.S. dares to invade our sacred territory even an inch it will not escape our severe punishment in any part of the globe.”

Meanwhile, world markets are telling Kim In Ryong to fuck off, with the South Korean markets +0.10% and S&P futures flat. There’s nothing that can stop the upward march or prosperity, quite literally — not even nuclear war.

The deal with KJ is really simple: he wants to stay in power. Nothing more, nothing less. Read the accounts from US reporters that have visited NK, and they all say the same thing: KJ watched waht happenned to Saddam and Gaddafi: give up your WMDs and then the US will take you out. So he will NEVER give up nukes.
At the same time, he knows tha he can’t winn a war with America, so he won’t start one unless he thinks American is coming for him (assasination, political revolt, etc.). He also knows that if we discover he is helping others get WMDs, we may come after him. If we leave him alone and ignore him, we’ll have peace. If we destabilize his country through heavy sanctions, or if our iwe threaten them with war(“Sorry, but only one thing will work!”), then KJ may misinterpret douchebag bravado as an actual threat, and strika first (EG, like Japan with Pearl Harbor).
So the big problem is that it’s not clear if Trump understands this, or if he is smart enough to anticipate KJ’s reactions based on this, or if Trump’s ego will make a bet that America doesn’t want to back. Two egotistical maniacs with fingers on the Button mean nuclear war is a much bigger probabilty than it should be.
