Chaos is everywhere. You’d think all of this tumult would result in a much higher VIX index. Those darn money changers are keeping us all complacent and rich. Now that I’ve switched over to the darkside, if only for the day, I truly wish for a bastard day in the market to unfold today. Odds are, that’s not going to happen. Is it? We’re likely to rebound and glide higher, on the heels of our shoes, like nothing happened.
Nasdaq futs are +16. Over in Europe, the EuroStoxx 50 is flat. Gold is -0.4%, WTI flat, Copper +0.29%, BTC +0.29% and the dollar is +0.44% v the euro.
Pre-market, NVDA is +2.8%, FB +0.9%, AAPL +0.66%, NFLX +0.87% and BABA +1%.
My health situation continues to improve and, if I’m lucky enough, I’ll be heading back to the gym to bargain with some weights later on.
On the NFL front, I see agitators are attempting to push the NFL off a cliff for good — advocating that they should permit transgender cheerleaders into the league. This would complete the NFL’s destruction, as an organization, and remove whatever straight men are left watching the game from their ranks. As a society, we could only hope for such happenings, as professional sports have become something of a perverse novelty, undeserving of our time and money.

Someone on CNBC talking S&P 2800 by year end, I do think risk is rising for a dramatic panic selloff. Problem is it could come from 2800 or 2500 , but this market does feel a little like 1987 and 2000.
