The Mooch sat down with Stephanopoulos this morning to discuss recent events, most of which was standard rubbish. A few moments were noteworthy.
Scaramucci believes there are elements inside the White House who are trying to ‘eject’ Trump. Clearly, this isn’t news, since we’ve been seeing a constant barrage of unflattering leaks since election night. Nevertheless, his spin on things, corporate vs political class, was interesting.
“The president is not a representative of the political establishment class, and so for whatever reason, people have made a decision that they want to eject him,” Scaramucci said. “It’s almost like he’s opened up the door now for America’s CEOs and America’s billionaires to enter the Washington political system. The members of that political class do not like that.”
“I think that there are elements inside of Washington, also inclusive in the White House, that are not necessarily abetting the president’s interests or his agenda,” Scaramucci said. “I absolutely believe that, yes.”
In regards to getting fired, he wished they could’ve just told him to wash his mouth out with soap and move on.
Scaramucci was critical of Trump’s response to the Charlottesville attack, saying the President needed to come out stronger against white supremacists. His tone here was interesting, adamantly implying that Trump is surrounded by ‘yes men’ who do not give the President good advice.
Lastly, he unloaded on White House advisor, Steve Bannon, saying the President needed to move away from ‘Bannon-Bart nonsense.’

Exactly. Mooch is stating the obvious. How is that news to anybody that there are elements within the deep state trying to dump Trump and throw him under the bus? Obviously Mooch was not around long enough to add more color to the insider politicking.

Interesting post. Mooch seems to understand the political side of things quite well. But I disagree that Trump needs to move closer to the Senators. They need to move closer to him. That’s why Trump was elected. If they don’t, then no legislation is better than bad legislation.
On the other hand, Mooch does not appear to grasp the enormity of the sea change under way in the voting population, that is disconnecting from politics as usual. Trump does.
