Joe grew up in Florida and never bothered to join the military. I suppose he was busy playing shuffleboard or whatever the hell they do down in Pensacola. Ever since Joe entered the political scene, he’s been part of the neocon gang. You know, rubbing elbows with the likes of Bill Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz or his wife’s late father Zbigniew Brzezinski — chicken hawks who clamor for the blood of young Americans in a perverse, ritualistic manner.
Now, obviously feeling his oats for being a hardcore Never Trumper, making all sorts of new friends in the liberal media, Scarborough tweeted out a criticism to today’s youth, upset over their lack of enthusiasm for military service, opting to instead stay at home playing video games.
Young men in the 1940s liberated Europe from Nazism and the Pacific from the Japanese Empire. Today, too many stay home playing video games. https://t.co/e7FTe0O20P

Being an avid collector of old newspapers, and regular peruser of old articles on Google’s News Archive, I can tell that before and during WW2, there were countless older men penning articles critical of the youth of that time, who went on to become ‘the greatest generation.’ They called them soft and bitter, accustomed to American decadence, unable to go toe to toe with the hardened Hitler youth.
Wrong.
Here’s a letter from a fallen serviceman at Midway, discussing this very topic.
The subsequent result of Joe’s tweet was acrimonious attacks on an industrial scale.
No one wants war. Even the Greatest Generation would have preferred not to go. Uncle Sam had other ideas. https://t.co/K8NzO3NS8A

It is ironic you say this on Purple Heart Day. My Marine Corps Company had 48 Purple Hearts, almost all were millennials. #purpleheartday https://t.co/6i7BL0USzm

Where do the thousands of millennials who went to Iraq under false pretenses fall into the equation here? https://t.co/LU15sDM1y4

Alternate take: If we had had video games in the 1940s, maybe there wouldn’t have been a horrific World War! https://t.co/x1GIgOwDeJ

Yeah damn I mean where is a World War when you need one to free Millennials from their couches. https://t.co/fYzj0RmtLb

I'm sorry, Joe. I will do better. I promise to go die in a war.

That fucktards bags would look bigger if the rat eyes were not so beady. Waldo as a serial killer.
Not that I really give a shit but what makes this moron a conservative again? Does he hate queers or something? Never really heard him say much that was conservative at all. Also fuck war and people that mindlessly shill for it.
Lolz!
Does he live in a cave? What was the last video game Joe played? Paced-man? Donkey-Kongs?
Probably not the best-selling, first person shooter (combat / murder simulator) titles like “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” or “Battlefield” or “Medal of Honor”. It’s not that they don’t want to fight, they are just practicing on the computer, “killing” time as it were until the next conflict starts up.
Rest assured, there is no shortage of cannon fodder available to the empire. They can and will enlist by the thousands.
War is inevitable. The human species is hardwired for armed conflict. We’re too illogical, emotional and aggressive to prevent war. Until humans can overcome our tribal programming (which might happen with genetic engineering or a near extinction event) we are doomed as a species to wash, rinse, repeat.
As with all generations, there are clueless and clued-in among the generation that came up having watched the idiot Bush and neocongress send us off to war following the neocon script. The difference now is that there is no draft and so the clued-in don’t give a major shit as they watch those of their peers who still believe things like ‘Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11,’ go off to war. Not the fault of these soldiers, they were young and their parents were naive …but most of them come back from the mid-east well educated. Afterall, they supported Ron Paul more than any other group.
Anyway Joe, the problem is you and other neocon shills.
Enjoy whatever Peace there is, War is coming.
Bleeding badly from a face-lift, dumb as a rock Mika Brzezinski should hide Joe Scarborough’s crazy pills.
LOL. I said No!
Liberal Joe comes with 0 facts here, just a small minded, off the cuff, stereotyped opinion. Bravo Liberal Joe.
Beautifully penned letter from the fallen man at Midway……people just don’t speak that way anymore.
I was thinking the same thing, that letter rivaled The Fly in his heyday. I wish I could travel back in time.
As for joe, what a piece of work he is.
My father landed on Omaha Beach. He wanted nothing to do with war and would not talk about it.
