I have long maintained that Californians are 1 standard deviation nuttier than the mean of the USA nuttiness. And that is ex-Washington DC ; otherwise the mean would be signficantly skew(ered) higher. Given the recent reports that all the “saner” poor folks are moving out of the state, the trend is likely toward the 2 standard deviation marker, IMHO.
