This is a clown-rape of unimaginable circumstances. I’d hate to say I’ve never seen anything like it before, since I probably have. When you’ve been doing this for as long as I have, you get grizzled and immune to fuckery — as it is part and parcel of the investing narrative.
But the level of sheer fuckery taking place in $DRYS is certainly worthy of a post — off by 92% for 2017 and a laughable -85% over the past two weeks.
Interestingly, I had bought this piece of shit a few weeks ago and sold it last week for a very short term loss of half my investment. The company has been doing 1 for 8 reverse splits like they were going out of style. Each time it reverses, the stock goes down 90%. I can see this occurring for the rest of time, an eternal and neverending torture for longs — supported by zombie ships floating like pieces of shit across the seven seas.
In response to all of this hurt, DRYS bought another ship a few weeks ago.
There hasn’t been any news — a total and complete blackout — and the exchange doesn’t think the shares should be halted. After all, an 85% drop after 2 weeks of jaw-dropping declines, on no news, is totally normal.
