Lame Duck John Kerry Slaps Israel One Last Time Over Settlements

Put the validity of Kerry’s claims on pause for a moment and think about what Obama is doing here. He is the very definition of lame duck. His legacy was roundly repudiated on election night with the election of Trump. They know Trump is very pro-Israel, yet according to Israeli sources they put the UN up to the task of passing a resolution that demanded an end to Israeli settlements.

This is the exact opposite of creating a seamless transition to power for Trump. Everything these clowns are doing now, their vindictive agenda trolling, will have to be undone by Trump.

Here’s Kerry calling Netanyahu the most right wing in Israeli history. I’ve never heard an America Secretary of State speak like this about Israel.

And here is Kerry chiding Israel about its values, saying ‘they can either be Jewish or democratic, it cannot be both.’ I don’t recall Kerry doing a presser suggesting the same advice for our dear friends in Saudi Arabia.

Wonder how all those democratic Jews feel about Obama now? Probably still worship him. That speech made me sick to watch

Fly, if you are anti-war, do you still support all our military aid to Israel?

I guess Kerry and Obama think that Netanyahu’s policies that are so Right Wing and kind of neo-con that they will keep war going and obstruct peace.

If you do not think so, then why? What is your reasoning?

Will you suddenly be pro war, and pro tons of military aid to Israel, if Trump is? If so, why?

I am anti-military aid for all nations. But, if we’re going to give Egypt aid, we have to give Israel aid too. Plus, let’s make a direct assessment of Israel here. They are the best friends we have in the region, a democracy and civilized country surrounded by barbarous retrogrades who PAY THE FAMILIES OF SUICIDE BOMBERS for murdering innocent Israeli’s.

I want to keep you focused here. My issue isn’t whether the settlements are great or not. It is Obama and Kerry purposefully making it harder for Trump by meddling with stuff like this.

Learn some history for chrissakes! The only reason that Egypt is number 2 in aid giveaway is because we buy them off in exchange for recognizing Israel …all at Israel’s behest.

We promised them aid and Israel gave back the Sinai. The reason: Without the most populous Arab country behind them, there is no way for Arabs to oppose the American-armed Israeli military.

Aid to Egypt is aid to Israel.

And to think we would have had 4 more years of this vitriolic garbage had America not come to its senses and elected HRC instead of Trump…

That would be good if after Jan. 20th, some of the vitriol can die down. Time will tell. The main thing that seems to hold Trump supporters together is liberal bashing though.

So even when liberals have zero power, I imagine some Trump supporters will still be bashing liberals, because many of them don’t seem to actually like Trump, but only to hate HRC and Obama and Kerry.

How about we let Israel decide what kind of society they want. Fuck all our meddling in the middle east. Fuck foreign aid, fuck fighting wars over there. Fuck it all. We deal with whoever wins the spoils. None of our fucking business. Let them figure it out.

That would produce the same result as backing a rabid dog into a corner on his home turf. Israel being the rabid dog of course. The serious fangs would come out to deal with unruly neighbors, including Syria, Hezbollah, PLO, Iran and the like. Palestinians would be slaughtered indiscriminately, Iran, Syria + most of Turkey and Iraq would become nuclear wasteland…consequences be damned.
The Israeli’s will spare no weapon or person at their disposal if they are left with what they feel are no options. They learned their lesson in WWII and will never submit or lay down their weapons again. They would go to war with the entire damned world if needed.

No, I do not agree. But I respect your view that if you were Kerry, you would do the job differently. I think Kerry is a good man acting on his conscience and he has every right to do so.

LOL, I don’t know. I don’t like to make fun of people’s looks. People call Mitch McConnell a turtle. But people are very limited with regards to being able to change their looks. But if Obama or Kerry or Trump pursues the wrong policies, then they are capable of changing that.

And if Trump starts to screw stuff up badly, hopefully the people will let him know that and know what would be better to do.

People make fun of Trump’s hair too. But I don’t care what his hair looks like. I care what he does when he gets in office.

I saw a picture of Trump with his hair slicked back like his sons (might have been photo shopped). He should go with it. Looked pretty bad ass.

John Kohn Kerry is really a funny man. All his statements in the beginning about the pathetic worthless existence suffered by Gazans under their leadership is exactly the case for why it is completely insane to give these islamic terrorist org’s Palestinian statehood!

The gaza mess also got worse after Israel withdrew of course. They are a massive national welfare enterprise. And Israel, yes Israel!, is sending them supplies and footing most of that bill.

John Kohn Kerry is so funny. Bibi is the most rightwing in history?
Menachem Begin was leader of the Jewish underground! LOL And Shamir? LOL

    Dem politicians know practically nothing.

Funny man Kerry also says Bibi “more committed to settlements than any in Israeli history.” That is a total lie and shows the Dems making shit up for their narrative again.

There haven’t been any new settlements allowed to be built since at least 15 years. Originally, the Labor party spearheaded the settlement movement (that’s the mainstream left which Obama tried to get elected over Bibi) and obviously in the beginning it was all about new settlements. Today they are only allowed to grow within already existing settlements. They do not take new lands.

Obviously Labor doesn’t have the same view of settlements as they once did, but you can’t get more committed to them than they were at the start.

Beyond that, Bibi put a Freeze on building in Jerusalem and de facto in Judea and Samaria (building in existing settlements that is) multiple times during Obama’s presidency at US urging. No one ever did that before that I’m aware of, so you could argue the exact opposite of what Kerry said is true. As time goes on Israeli PMs become more and more restrictive of settlement activity. That’s a fact of history so far.

Not to say I agree but those are the facts. Kerry’s high praise of Bibi as most rightwing and most committed to settlement is, to my dismay, not warranted. But more importantly, shows Kerry is a liar.
