I like the take that Comey doesn’t want to interfere with elections, and knows it’s FB but knows it’s not FBI policy to talk about an open investigation. Therefore, he took a bullet to his personal reputation initially to let the American public know all the wrongs Hillary did and YET still didn’t indict. Now that something else has come up, he essentially is letting the public know that there’s something disqualifying that his conscience again won’t let him be quiet.
At the same time, if they try and indict Hillary so close to an election, the American election loses it’s credibility. When half the people don’t have a chance to voice their opinion and vote for anyone, what separates the US elections from the 3rd world country sham “elections”?
So Comey won’t indict, but will again go on record before the election to basically say that “The FBI policy is to not comment on an active FBI investigation, but we have received evidence that suggests the Clinton Foundation may also be implicated in corruption and money laundering,etc” Comey will say that he “doesn’t want to undermine the election by putting a presidential candidate on trial, so we will resume the investigation after the election, but to the American people, here’s all the things you need to know…”
Hopefully he is clear about his own intentions as well. Otherwise people will assume that if he says all the shady things she has done and then says “but we won’t try her” people will spin it as she’s “totally innocent, nothing to see”. Hopefully he speaks during the week rather than on a holiday when no one is watching like last time or on a weekend when the news dumps occur and few people care.
Some have speculated the FBI is at “civil war” over this because the FBI has so many policies that have to be modified and they don’t want to influence the election, but they also don’t want to let anyone think they are “above the law” which puts them in an awkward position.
