Overall, the median income hasn’t moved since the 90s.

Looks like rig counts are going up and moving away from offshore rigs to focus on horizontal drills. Offshore drilling is seeing deep dark purple blood.

The corollary to that is permits pulled for new exploration in the Michigan basin have surged in the last 2-3 months. Exploration will continue, just in different locations made available by fracking.
