Reports indicate that Ankara is very much still in play. But Istanbul has fallen back into the greasy palms of strongarm Erdogan.
As you can see from the video below, the protectors of democracy, the Turkish military, have morphed into cowardice surrender monkies. Tanks have been toppled over by unarmed morons, punching armed soldiers in the face with their bared knuckles. None of this makes sense, from a logical perspective. Obviously, morale is non-existent upon the military personnel on the ground.
It is widely believed that if Erdogan succeeds in completely defeating this coup, he will purge the country of all dissidents, becoming the strong arm authoritarian theocrat he endeavors to become.
