Japanese messaging app is due to come public in America on July the 14th. It sports 218 million users, mainly from Asians who like to send stickers of anime to one another. Patently absurd.
After the IPO launches, led by the catamites over at Goldman and Morgan Stanley, its market cap will likely top $7, maybe even $9 billion.
Sales are growing at a 40% clip to around a billion, placing its prospective price to sales ratio anywhere from 7-10x. Bear in mind, Line is up against the global hegemony called Facebook with its What’s App messaging app.
Line will trade under the ticker LN.
Retarded.

You ain’t seen a unicorn ’til you’ve seen a Japanese one.
All my Thai girls use it 🙂
Taiwanese love anything Japanese.
12 years I lived in Thailand. LINE is superior, easy to use, free voice and video. No phone number needed. Attach one icon to express a sentiment. What’s app, which I also used is stupid. you have to stand there peeking away at the keyboard.
yeah, who needs actual conversation when a pic of Pokemon will do…those darned pesky keyboards…
Flexibilty – you can still use a keyboard with line, in addition to it’s other features.
So it sounds like What’s app has 0 advantages over lie, other than a larger user base. However, LINE is already large enough that mnay people will probably have both.
RIP What’sapp (= MySpace )
