Crazy as a fucking watermelon with training wheels, Marc Faber, offers some sound advice in this clip. With corn, wheat and soybeans all moving higher, he likes potash stocks here, likening them to the depressed mining sector earlier in the year–before their gigantic runs.
It makes sense, if food commodities hold current levels, or even higher.
Shares of MOS and POT come to mind, both down in the area of 35% over the past 12 months. Other potash makers include IPI, AGU, CF and TNH.
These stocks have been fucking ramshackled, so it’s a ballsy call.

Indeud… This is a gem right here. If we are going to get bearish, we might as well bet on the destruction of the middle class people in this country. It’s time to lower the buying power of the working class with higher commodity prices.
Wtf does “bearish” have to do with inflating the fuck out of anything? It is all a game.
What we need to do is increase wages for the middle and lower class so the consumer can buy more shit, including shitty food.
Why the fed keeps giving money to banks is beyond my understanding. They’re increasing the chances of a credit crunch.
As awful as it sounds to the libertarians and conservatives of the world, we need more spending on infrastructure and higher wages, not handouts to the banks and crappy businesses.
True, ‘dat. We’ve tried giving all the money to the mega-banks, so we can certainly cross that off the list of things to try.
Sir Fly, do you think the etf $MOO as a safety helmut on said watermellons head put enough diversity/exposure to fertilizers to outway the focus into individual ferts, here?
Moo works
Thank you Dr. Fly.
As does DBA, IMO
