Addressing a Reader Complaint, #1,004,007

One of my readers sent me a note the other day, bedraggled with rage over my recent Donald Trump advocacy, coupled with ‘click-baiting’ styled blog posts and a wanton disregard for persons on CNBC, as well as my alleged ‘islamophobia’ (it’s worth noting, I am not afraid of muslims).

Since I have nothing to hide, I’ll post his love letter here, in its entirety.

The political discourse on this iBC has become fucking repulsive and completely beneath the likes of learned gentlemen. Where iBankcoin used to cut through the noise of financial markets to deliver epic winship, now we’re drubbed over the head daily with non-seguitar liberal bashing, Trump glorification, Islamophobia, CNBC guest mockery, and of course, endless plugs to join ‘The Ark’. The best, actionable content is completely buried on the main page under a heaping pile of worthless crap.

Fuck that. I’ll be damned if I’m going to spend another dime on this site filled with such mindless, click-baiting horseshit. The Internet is filled to the brim with such dreck. If I wanted to read zerohedge and Breitbart, I’d go to those sites.

I’ll refrain from correcting his numerous and egregious grammatical errors and instead address the obvious. I enjoy publishing ‘piles of shit’ and engaging in ‘non-sequitur’ attacks upon my readers, most of whom are domiciled in government controlled housing tenements. At the present, I am working with Congress to make iBankCoin MANDATORY READING for all those living on the dole, afraid to head out to the corner bodega due to wanton gunfire. Also and admittedly, I do mock CNBC, regrettably so. After further inspection, I’ve found that my anger towards CNBC has more to do with my childhood, growing up with the rats and the thieves in Brooklyn, than the mundane content provided by CNBC.

I do speak of the ark often. I have an obsession with building large vessels and housing giraffes, parrots and jaguars on it.

As far as click-baiting is concerned, I grouchily take exception to that charge, as I regularly dissuade readers from visiting the site. Inception to date, I’ve banned over 3,500 people from visiting these halls and my content is designed for mass consumption, touching on topics ranging from Janet Yellen’s egg sandwich luncheons to impending nuclear war on foreign planets.

As far is Trump is concerned, I just want the wall God damn it. And, more than that, I want those devilish Mexicans to pay for it. America is going to be great again!

I’d be outraged, too, if you ever mocked Art Cashin. Forewarned is forearmed, Dr. Fly!

(S)he should have been here 5-6 years ago.
iBC is tame compared to the wild posts and comments back then.
The problem with the internet and people today (when it comes to politics) is that many
are exposed to only what they believe in, read, watch, or listen to only those that reaffirm
    what they already think.
The other side is always stupid and ignorant.
And this is how many sites and blogs survive- keep feeding their believers so they can earn a living writing dreck.
And the politicians count on this to keep their power- make it personal as if a certain voter segment has a personal stake so they get the votes.
Term limits with a restriction on lobbying and consulting thereafter would solve much of this.

It would be interesting to know just how many “dimes” this person spent reading these blog posts and comments. I’m titling this letter “While My ‘Seguitar’ Gently Weeps”….

This letter is a fine example of the power of the two party system, and how people are so totally influenced and controlled by the teamsmanship of two-party politics.

The liberal bashers are controlled by the 2 party system too. They seem to think that all they need to do is bash liberals and then every problem is solved by the great GOP. Said GOP now dominates both Houses of Congress, state governorships, state legislatures, and until recently, the Supreme Court. If bashing liberals and getting rid of them in government solved our problems, everything would be perfect right now.

Granted, there is a Democratic president, although I wouldn’t call him a liberal. But Congress makes the laws– not the president. There isn’t that much that can be done by executive order.

You agreed with me previously, that Bernie would be the best candidate to keep my young relative in the military from coming home in a body bag, after fighting in an unnecessary war. So you are aware that there are at least some differences between the parties, or at least the candidates.

That being said, there are not as many differences between the parties as I would like there to be. Since the Deep State, including the big banks and military industrial complex, tend to tell the president and Congress what to do, rather than vice versa, I am aware that my worries about unnecessary wars might not be over, even with Bernie. But I do agree with you, that he’s my best bet here.

Bernie’s my choice, and Trump is not. But both Bernie’s and Trump’s ideas are from outside the 2 party system, even while running within it. In fact, Trump was previously a Democrat, and also has been a Reform Party member, even though he’s now running as a Republican. Bernie has been the longest serving Independent in U.S. Congressional history, before decided to run as a Democrat.

So there is some hope of getting past that system. Their supporters have a lot in common. And in the future, they could possibly get together and form a viable 3rd party, the likes of which the U.S. has not seen in a long time.

Superb, Fly was just being dramatic, writing an entertaining blog. Are you from outside the U.S.? In the U.S., almost everything is entertainment. Very little is serious.

I know it’s confusing with Fly, because he does publish real news about investing. But when he covers politics, it’s entertainment.

I suppose it might be possible to write an entertaining blog these days without mentioning Trump, his wall, and his various escapades. But I am not sure. I haven’t seen any comedians passing up the Trump invitation to entertainment.

It’s takes an uncommon man to entertain and provide nuggets of financial wisdom at the same time. iBC is one of the few places that does that.

As for political bashing, I’ve found that there is enough to go around on both sides on the Internet (ZeroDredge not withstanding). Nobody is forced to read all the posts and the comments actually require an extra click to get to. Even then, it’s not like Fly bans those that Feel the Bern or anything. You’d think that freely posting ***200-300 times a month*** would be enough for most readers, but they also want Fly to keep his (entertaining) political posts to himself? That e-mail must have been from someone who got too many participation trophies when they were younger.

PS How is someone who uses the phrase “deliver epic winship” not a Trump fan anyway?

The reader class needs to become more informed on the glaring fallacies they are exhibiting. A good insight would for the plebs to read “Your Not So Smart.” Confirmation bias, sharpshooter fallacies, ad hominem, group think, etc. All stemming from the primitive need to be accepted and feel important.

Fly is from New York and I’m from California. We see the world differently. But, I was in Jefferys Bay and this was a wall hanging.

In the end what matters most is
    How well did you live
    How well did you love
How well did you learn to let go

Not a bad gage to keep in mind whether from New York or California.
