When you fuck with the government, you get Snowden’d or Shkreli’d. I am almost starting to feel bad for the guy.
Almost.
The Internal Revenue Service has filed a tax lien for $4,628,928.55 against Martin Shkreli, the former CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals who hiked the price of a lifesaving medication produced by the company by 5,000 percent.
The IRS prepared the tax lien against Shkreli on December 18, a day after the FBI arrested him for securities fraud charges related to his management of a hedge fund, and filed the tax lien last month. The tax lien against Shkreli comes from unpaid 2014 taxes of $4,625,496.70 and unpaid 2013 taxes of 3 grand and change.
Not a fan, whatsoever, of the IRS or Shkreli. This money grab, however, seems excessive and driven by bias.

While I agree this is clearly biased, it couldn’t happen to a better guy.
This is what happens when you fuck with Ghost Face Killa’
it would be interesting to see how they calculated such taxes.
and isn’t $4.6m the size of his trading account? coincidence?
This is just an opening shot, although his legal bills will be impressive. If you’re going to have a tyrannical government agency, may as well use it for good.
a bill for back taxes is hardly medieval. they will torture and kill snowden if they get their hands on him.
I am getting so Bored of these Possible QE rallies, I thought it was loosing juice yesterday. But OMG, it hasn’t and This Rally continues. USD/JPY has moved much at all but hasn’t faded, Off shore Yuan vs On shore Yuan are Par so no selling of USD out of them at this moment. FOMC minutes are now out. The Short Squeeze in Oil has to deal with Inventory data tonight and tomorrow. Our Hawk Bullard will be speaking soon. I will be so surprised if this Rally can have the same staying power as a 2011 QE is coming rally.
marty is typical wall street. he just skipped over PR class.
A serious oversight. Being civil and polite in certain circumstances can save one a great deal of trouble and money.
he’s a patsy to cool main streets jets for wall st blood
The “speculation tax” is coming.
If they are following standard procedure, Shkreli was notified of the back taxes repeatedly prior to the lien phase of collection and almost certainly spoke directly with a revenue agent that showed up at his home or office. 4.6 mil is a good chunk of change…the IRS didn’t just conjure that up out of nothing.
