He discussed oil and the lunacy of upping earnings estimates for airlines and then selling off the stock. Also, he said if oil traded down to $29, the market would sell off another 3%. He was in true misanthropic fashion.
My favorite part was towards the end. Admittedly, I am a sucker for Federal Reserve bashing. As you know, when Cramer hones in on the Fed and starts to bash them, he has no equal.
Let the games begin.

I miss Erin Burnett.
Jeeeez. So do I. Most of the CNBC commentators give me the creeps. Becky Quick and Josh Brown are mainly OK. But there’s never enough there to take it off mute.
Well, whatever pressures the Fed is giving in to, those pressures certainly are not resulting in their becoming less incompetent. I have read that there have been some pressures on the Fed, apparently from various financial companies, for the Fed to hike rates, so that such companies could then justify hiking rates on credit cards, mortgages etc.
Hopefully those pressures will let up soon, before the stock market gets to zero. Some of those financial institutions must have stock portfolios, which, one would think, would get them changing their minds about wanting more rates hikes at this point.
Who is it that the Fed trusts, listens to, or yields to pressure from? Whoever that is, we have to hope that group of people cares whether the market goes to zero or not.
2 billion NIM increase for JPM from fed rate hike…..

Any thoughts on this? Besides the fact that he’s a socialist he’s the only one paying attention to what’s actually going on (not this ‘we need to build’ a wall BS).
Feel the Bern. Nothing wrong with being a socialist. Some people say the U.S. already is and has been socialist (not Communist, which is qfor a long time, as evidenced by programs like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. So, if we already are socialist, we might as well have a president who is paying attention to what’s actually going on.
the US has had socialism since the late 40’s .. for the rich
Well, Bernie wants to socialism for the poor and middle class now. It’s about time. It could be good. It’s not Communism. Too many people get confused about that.
StockCats on Twitter is proposing a government program to give 10K to each citizen. That would work far better than giving it to the banks. It would get the money circulating by giving it to folks who would spend it in the economy. This would help the economy a lot more than many of the things the government now spends money on.
meant to type “to have socialism”
Oops, hit the send button too soon. Meant to type “(not Communist, which is quite different)”
pah mega squeeze
AAII bullish sentiment just 17.90%! 3/5/9 it got to 18.92%, don’t think it’s even been this low!! http://www.aaii.com/sentimentsurvey/sent_results
Nov 1990, looking back thru the recent data. BTW very good comment post.
OK, this Bear’s Fears are relieved, Mario Draghi spoke and it was OK. Mainly he said “There were also “many members” who were sceptical about further easing then. I doubt they’ve changed their minds over Christmas.”…This Bullard Rally should fade fast, he is a Hawk when it finally gets down to it, he shouldn’t mess with my nice sweet sell off.
Plus, the funny part in his full speech, he worries about 20.00 oil not bringing up Headline CPI until 2017. Yet if Oil moves up because Fed won’t act…will make the Fed Act because they will get their CPI numbers. ROFL. Bottomline, he still thinks the economy is strong because Auto Sales are strong, ahhh Cough Cough, Channel Stuffing Auto Sales.
