A Bow Tie-less Jim Rogers is Short America, Long China

Traitor. Smugly, he apologizes for the dog eating ways of China. Many years ago, Jim uprooted his family and moved to Singapore to raise his children, where he proudly teaches them mandarin because english, apparently, is the language of the savage. In a Bloomberg interview today, he discussed how nothing was extraordinary about current Chinese fuckery. Moreover, he’s short U.S. junk bonds and stocks and generally despises the country that made him a very rich man.

He’s dismissive of China’s currency concerns, saying it has been the best performing currency over the past decade and how a small decline is normal, especially since Chinese citizens are now permitted (Extra Orwell) to take money out from their great walled, lizard eating, nation.

What is wrong with Jim Rogers? The guy is raising his kids in a place where the air is so polluted you can see it. His wealth won’t help him a bit if one or all of his kids end up getting bad cases of lung disease.

And short the U.S. and long China? Buying that wildly careening Chinese market? What a doofus he’s become. Yes, the U.S. has a lot of debt. It’s also the world’s reserve currency. And according to one of the previous videos on this blog, the Chinese are buying dollars hand over fist.

The Chinese knocking is getting a little overdone. They are not even close to being capitalistic. Have you watched American citied flicks from the 80’s lately? We were a trashheap.

Frog, I think you are thinking China’s major cities on the air pollution front (40% energy from coal). Singapore has an annual hazy period due to farmers in Indonesia clearing land (with a match) which was especially bad this year, but typically is as clear as Kansas. Mr. Rogers began his journey in China, but soon moved to Singapore largely because of the air quality issue.

/ES is riipping, Asia ripping before nappy time…Crude not being homohammered attm…Wednesday could be an old fashioned bear shitter VXX terminate.exe day, where Jim Rogers is left standing in a burlap sack yet again. Wouldn’t bank on it lasting but for those of us punting XIV, it could be a good day coming.

He’s nowhere near the bad pollution. He considered mainland China for all of a second before moving from the US to Singapore which is very clean (and extremely expensive to live in)
