The Blood Has Been Bought

That was fast. I go out for an incognito run to Dunkin’ Donuts, disguised with fake mustache and ivy hat, and the market gets gobbled up like brains in a town filled with zombies.

Much to my displeasure, I have not been able to buy in cheap. I want to own Aixtron AG (ADR) [[AIXG]] and Veeco Instruments Inc. [[VECO]] , based upon the expansion of LED technology into the television and lamp fixture market. At the present, LED’s make up 2% of the lamp fixture market. That number is expected to increase to 50% by 2015 and 90% by 2020, according to Phillips electronics.

My point: the LED market is not to be ignored. Embrace it, like a French whore in Papua New Guinea.

Other LED related names include Cree, Inc. [[CREE]] , Honeywell International Inc. [[HON]] , Ultratech, Inc. [[UTEK]] , LSI Industries, Inc. [[LYTS]] and Universal Display Corporation [[PANL]] .

In short, the technology revolution is around us; it’s everywhere. Are you man enough to play it? Are you smart enough to mint coin from it?

Aside from that, my General Cable Corporation [[BGC]] , Flotek Industries, Inc. [[FTK]] , [[ENTR]] , Corning Incorporated [[GLW]] , Barnes & Noble, Inc. [[BKS]] and ADTRAN, Inc. [[ADTN]] positions look great.

    WTF?

Dude, there’s no french whores in Papua. In fact I’ll offer 300:1 you wouldn’t find one there.

They still eat human flesh there.

No kidding, they had to take a kid of that shit hole a while back, as the tribe thought he was evil and they were going to turn him into a pot roast. True.

“Embrace it, like a French whore in Papua New Guinea”

No kidding, having worked there for a few months back in the 90’s that is outstanding advice. Since the introduction of things like pop tarts etc. those silly old unhealth snacking habits have pretty much died out though.

I recall talking up game on LEDs back in May or the Spring with who else, but Henry Fool. I will also say that smart grid plays are a part of that tech infrastructure makeover. ITRI, ELON, and POWR are stocks for that. Big recent run-up on them but wait for the big silver pinball to come back to the plunger for another coiled burst.

saw this today… old news to everybody now?

..Zero Hedge has been outed. In a piece appearing in New York Magazine, http://nymag.com/guides/money/2009/59457/ the man behind the rabble rousing website has been identified as 30-year old Bulgarian immigrant Dan Ivandjiiski.

So is Ivandjiiski the eponymous Tyler Durden? Yes and no. It turns out Tyler Durden is the screen name for as many as 40 different writers on the Zero Hedge site, presumably including Ivandjiiski.

**Ivandjiiski is a former hedge fund analyst serving a lifetime ban for insider trading.

      That’s pretty old.
Still, regardless of what ZH says, there is mainly 1 writer using the TD screen name. He has a distinct writing style, characterized mainly by long long long sentences filled with lots of phrases set off with (parenthesis).
      The point is, who cares?
Don’t let the messenger influence the message.

I do my best to avoid it at all cost

Was that you at Dunkin’ Donuts?
Steve,Jr. thought he recognized you with the jelly oozing out of the donut onto your toes. I always thought shoes were required in eating facilities.
And then he knew it was you for sure when he saw the PT Cruiser with the Obama Hope and Change sticker on the bumper.

Hey Fly, you are no doubt right about our Tron-like LED future, but my worry is that the likes of CREE don’t stand to benefit as much as one would think.

It’s a nasty commodity market, soon to be — if not already — dominated by shady chinese conglomerates. Western companies like CREE with all their supposed “intellectual property” may in the end be left with little to show from the LED revolution they are supposedly spearheading.

Then again maybe this, like all else, has little to do with fundamentals. Maybe just holding on to pieces of paper inscribed with words vaguely indicating some relation to the LED industry is enough.

      Henry,

Thought there was an over abundance of polly-silicon [sic] and just another commodity biz … so other than the financing for the completion of construction which will get them up and running this year, where’s the meat? Aren’t solar and wind dead w/o subsidies?

    If it weren’t for the Fly’s market prowess, I would most certainly not be here;
but with that said, you can’t get this stuff just anywhere:

gobbled up like brains in a town filled with zombies

Embrace it, like a French whore in Papua New Guinea
