Roadmap for the next 6 months:
1. This week or next we finally get the “correction” everyone’s been waiting for. Provided it’s not too steep and not accompanied by overly scary newsfeed, the “money on the sidelines” starts piling in, equity markets get pushed to new highs.
2. Sometime between end of November to January, things get ugly with a secondary dip in economic growth, less-than-stellar christmas retail data, etc., stock market tanks for real. Dumb money that piled in in September panics. Shit gets real ugly. WW III breaks out. Ragnarok.
Of course long before then I’ll be broke and homeless and unable to cash in on the bear market to end all bear markets, thanks to the fataly mistimed short positions I am (not) enjoying at the moment

This is not really new information. Trade figures dropped like a rock just like housing construction and auto production and the price of oil. Shipping rates have dropped with the drop in trade. The shippers ordered a lot of new ships several years ago and now the used ship market is glutted. China and OPEC have some money and the ships can be scrap steel for China and OPEC could expand their tanker fleet on the cheap.
