This dollar rally is idiotic on the news that Russia still views the dollar as the world’s reserve currency. The Russians and Chinese would be idiotic to publicly admit that they want to get out of U.S. dollars…that would destroy the value of the vast amounts of treasuries and bonds they are already holding. In fact, if I were in their position I would be talking it up the dollar as much as possible while behind everyone’s backs I was out unloading my dollar holdings. That is exactly what is going on. This “news” makes me even more bearish on the dollar.

Yeah, they’re talking up their positions…duh…but unloading them? Then what? What will they buy next? They will not unload but rather reduce new purchases and diversify into other currencies. You won’t be seeing a dollar run anytime soon simply because any level of liquidation by the Russians and Chinese would quickly overwhelm their bluster.
What the blazes happened with GMGMQ.PK about 2PM today? Took a bounce of over 2X for about 15 minutes and went back. I don’t understand and seek knowledge from the enlightened ones here.
