How do you feel about SKF its been performing well lately but do you think its due for a pull back?
Guys, need help saving the world…
I know a bunch of people with CA Muni bonds ranging from 2009 maturity all the way to 2042, that their brokers put them in years ago. How fucked are Munis, and would general obligations of the state fare better in the months/years to come? I don’t think they’re going to hike rates when nobody has any $ to spend, but I am worried about revenues going down as well as the monoline fuckery.
Would you slice the local/non-rated/$hitty town munis and hold onto GO bonds, or would you slice the whole thing and tell lil’ ol grannies that this is the better of all evils and that they can resume taking income once the storm is over?
I spoke with a rep. for a major institutional muni fund who had absolutely no useful answers in regards to defaults, monolines, or interest rate hikes. I didn’t leave with a good feeling… in fact, I was worried for their clients. It was “so and so has been doing this for 25 years and can magically manage this fucked situation”
My gut says get out completeley, but if I’m wrong, fuck.
