I’m flying into Lima from Cusco tomorrow and arrive at about 4:20pm. It’s a 22 hour bus ride or 1 hour flight, sort of a no brainer with a long trip to Australia following.
I have been warned by many that Lima is a dangerous city, especially when traveling alone. Supposedly even at the airport you need to be careful; green means go and black is our friend the grim reaper when it comes to cabs.
Anyways, take a look at that video. A reader named “The Welsh Wizard” sent it to me as he knows I’m one to enjoy solo strolls through the streets.
I arrive late afternoon and have a flight to LAX the following day at 12:40pm; an airport hotel is looking like the play of choice.
I’ve been around the block but never seen anything like this… Every 5 minutes?!

That is one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. Peru’s government MUST hire Social workers etc and allocate some money and resources to stop this; not just for the victims sake, but equally for the sake of those poor kids as well…

And here in America we have a Republican party that still wants to give tax cuts to the upper echelon of the earnings ladder …somehow, I dont think these “piranhas” would feel the effect of “trickle-down”
