I feel like I am fourteen again, creeping aroound the house at all hours of the night. I know you all are awake too, it is something to do with our overactive minds, they just won’t stop. 7-8 years ago on this very night I was doing this: (quotes from my bros)

B6: Here’s a toast to the baddest Paratroopers on the planet…that took to Haifa Street, Iraq on 24 DEC 2004 and whooped ass for over 12 hours —- here’s to some of the best men I know ! Cheers !

EDIT 1: The quotes from above are directly from Facebook, that ‘s why there is such bad grammar and spelling. “That’s true” refers to the 1st and 3rd statement, written by the same person. Thus, I put their call signs in front of their statements.

EDIT 2: As I came upstairs this morning I felt like a selfish idiot. It’s not just the troops, it’s their families back home too; with the empty seat at the table, not knowing if their loved one will ever come home. Kids opening their presents without their dad, watching the snow melt in the morning without their mom, and parents having an empty space under the tree for the first time in their child’s life.
