The rain came down on RC this morning as China Medical Technologies, Inc. (ADR) [[CMED]] disappointed, however I remain long.
My only bright spots today were found in my long position in UnitedHealth Group Inc. [[UNH]], and my DryShips Inc. [[DRYS]] short.
I also picked up Foster Wheeler Ltd. [[FWLT]] @ 50 and change, and kept my position in American Superconductor Corporation [[AMSC]] ahead of earnings.
It was another choppy day, and the big moves were found being short Energy and Ag. We now have a FED meeting to deal with, so be prepared for anything.

“Bottom line: This market is very tricky. Be careful not to bet big in any direction. The volatility reminds of a Pepsi can opener. You know that little metal thingy that pierces the can, allowing you to guzzle the bullshit liquids inside of it? Eventually, you keep moving the metal thingy back and forth it falls off.”
Note: Bring on the Tropical weather! (see map to find RC’s location)
Truth be told, I love hurricanes. I’m actually looking forward to a stormy night with Edouard. The finace and I will probably throw on a movie, order a pizza, and drink a bottle of wine. Good times.

Is that all you two are going to do? Come on now. Use your imagination…substitute raw oysters for the pizza. It’s a much better experience.
Fuck off, it’s the simple times that are the best times.
Hope you have stops in place, just in case you get a “lights out” situation and cannot trade, Rage.

Good advice Jake. However, Edouard is not much to worry about. But, I may heed your advice.
Alpha,
I may do that. I’ll see if the future wifey is up for a few oysters, lol.
Anybody notice the action in AMSC a few minutes before the close? I’m liking what I see.
Last report, the stock gapped up several points, can we do it again?

Airborne,
I’ll have to give it to you, the past few days have not been my best.
The question I have for you is… What have you been doing lately? Care to share your genius insight?
RC-
This market is for people with little dicks and big ego’s.
I sit patiently in cash as I await my pitch. Lately it has been to wait for a squeeze in financials, and then put them out for a few days and cover.
My only position at the moment is short WM. I put it on the other day off the news of that fund taking a stake in the company. I shorted 6009 shares at an avg. cost of $5.71. I will cover when it hits $4.45, hopefully tomorrow (my stop is at $5.55). Ive had the trade on for a fews days now.
Doing too much in this market is for fags.
“Keep it simple, stupid” -Ben Stern
Airborne,
Other than being a total douche bag, I do agree with you on some of your points.
Keeping it simple in this market and not having to trade just because the market is open, isnt bad advice.
But your still a douche bag.
-Hybrid
p.s. I was an Airborne Ranger for 6 years and miss marching to the cadence- that song brings me back.
Hybrid
I didnt march, I lead.
Address me as sir, solider.
Capt. Airborne Ranger (West Point)
I have to ask the obvious question… are Hybrid and Airborne Ranger the same person? The posts just above me make it look that way.
things that make you go hmmmm.
Boca, that was my conclusion when I read it.
I would guess he’s a little embarrassed right now, Danny.
lol…good stuff!!
laffite’s is the safest place to be right now. The only bar on Bourbon run by cops.
I like MOH right here and on any weakness. They beat earnings by 31% yoy a week or so ago and are trading at a P/E of 13, sporting a beautifull flag and a strong sector.
I’m using the following as supporting indicators:
1)HUM showing strength
2)GHDX gapped up
In terms of fundies and tightness of pattern: MOH is all I’m playing.
Good luck to all.
