GOOD ACTION IN CHGG

In After Hours with Option Addict, our two earnings plays for this quarter were $CHGG and $IL. Through our earnings trades of the past, we have a pretty decent batting average, and usually manage to catch some of these silly moves where the market gets caught off guard and prices hit a “fast zone” based on the profile.

With $CHGG, this is not a bad spot to book a gain, but if it can hold north of $8.50, look for $9.50 next.

As for $IL, if it gaps north of $12.75, look for $17 over time.

First Solar(FSLR) shares jumped 10% to $54.76 on moderate volume and SunPower (SPWR) shares surged 12% to $31.14 on moderate volume. The companies said they are in advanced negotiations to form a yieldco (http://www.marketwatch.com/story/first-solar-sunpower-rally-in-after-hours-2015-02-23), a joint vehicle of pooled solar generation assets, with an eye on launching an IPO for the spinoff.

This might get the solars moving a bit tomorrow. I’m already balls deep in $FSLR and $SUNE, but for trades tomorrow I like $JASO, $TSL, $EMKR and $SOL. $SCTY and $VSLR might be worth a watch here too.

I started a stock position in $YELP today, taking my first of three blocks of shares. I also picked up a position in $ADHD looking for a breakout.

I might look to play earnings on $IL and $CHGG this week, but not with any significant size. Other than that, $EMES, $VDSI, $HOG, $BBBY, $P and $BBRY are near the top of my list this week.

We’ve been using $FDN as a visual aid to all the stocks I’ve been touting since late last year. While the market seems slow to accept new highs, $FDN is absolutely ripping.

This is where the 1999 style price action starts.

$CZR acts like it wants to rip here and $WYNN is still my favorite set-up.

I favor the casinos here having positions in both $CZR and $WYNN, as well as $LVS calls from a few weeks ago and shares of $BYD in the IRA.
