SF has such a high employment rate, companies can’t even fill positions anymore. Too many open jobs and not enough people. Yet I see so many people out and about during the day. I think they have “jobs” they just aren’t doing much. Kinda an French feel to it. Like you’re shopping but at the same time you’re working you know?
I know all things of which you speak. Times are getting less bad when you are shopping and working at the same time.
Then why aren’t folks flocking from TX to CA? Right now its the other way around.

Cali is nice, my Uncle has a home in Rancho Park complete with pool. The weather is perfect, the women are beautiful. But there is a disconnect somewhere between the beauty and folks leaving, dumping into AZ, NV and TX. Maybe they think the quasi-hip, small town Austin scene is more family friendly.

I’ve seen lots of write ups of what it costs to live in the Bay Area. Unless you cash out of a startup at some point or have e trembly high (for that area) income, it looks impossible to raise a family there.
Texas? Just a tad more affordable, no? Still plenty of sunshine, and drastically lower taxes.
Of course I speak of these things never having lived in either state, but I’ve spent time in both and certainly have considered a move.

I have no idea why I decided to buy an extra week on $TWTR. Thank God I did. Closed it at breakeven. Rolled the proceeds into a short $CIM. Went long $BOX. Incredibly luckily entry by about 1 min compared to current prices.
Also looking to short $AAPL and get long $FTK.
