Hi OA, in one of your previous posts about Bending Balance, you mention that “If we do break higher, be aware of any negative divergences that set-up.” Do you mean that if the market is rising but breadth, treasuries, risk-off/on assets, etc. are signaling a downside move, then we won’t see a leg higher for a little bit of time? Thanks for explaining this, and congrats on your continuing crush job.
Breadth divergences, Risk divergences…same stuff I talk about daily. Like my bear trap post a few weeks back. These divergences told me it was a bear trap, not the start of a move lower.
Thanks for the response, and that makes sense. As a follow up, playing devils advocate (I hate using that phrase but I digress), if we see the market move to the upside but there are negative divergences in breadth and risk and such, would that signal that may still have a slight pullback? Apologies if I’m asking the same, but trying to figure out what would signal a possible pullback; the bear trap post made total sense.
Yeah man, people need to look at more than the chart of the index for supportive information. The opposite of the “bear trap” discussion would be a move to new highs, no Russell participation and no breadth extremes.

Easier to say what’s not working this morning. $CARA flat. Besides that, $FIT, $BBBY, $ATI, $ECA, $GES, $JO, $PEIX, $POT all up, as is $CRM, but the latter will have to really rip to put my weeklies in the money. Great guidance OA.

Morning OA, I’m still clutching that $KTOS after its recent earnings run. Feeling kinda piggish though to be honest so I put a 5% trailing stop on it to feel less guilty! Thx

Got into MBLY on your recommendation OA. Today was a great day for most of course, but this buy made my day and was one that was off my radar until you mentioned it in After Hours.
