My summer travels are behind me now, and I’m rested, refreshed and ready to make some moves.
I’m trying to focus on stocks a little higher up on the risk profile. I think the momentum names that have carried lately will likely start to cool off. My basket consists of stocks like $CRM, $GPRO, $AMBA, $NMBL, $GOGO, $KING, $TOUR…and still shopping.

i was just on a flight that had their service. Prices are insane. $7.50 per half hour and $26.99 for the flight……if people are actually buying it then they’re making a fortune.

Transferred a large chunk of my account into Bitcoin. Trade of the year right here. Once currencies and governments start to fail this will skyrocket.

Check out circle.com. It’s very easy to use and free. They may start you out at a $2500 weekly limit if you’re looking for larger size than that. There is also coinbase.

I’m viewing Bitcoin as a hedge against government, much like gold, only on steroids. In sticking with the opinion that currencies and economies are going to fail into year end. I think you see Bitcoin bid way up.
Considering that all of the currencies that trade into bitcoin are fiat currencies, what makes you think that bitcoin itself will be worth anything should your prediction come true?
Why would Bitcoin decrease in value if the Australian economy fails and Australians start buying Bitcoin, USD and gold hand over fist? Bitcoin is a hedge against government, just like gold. The real risk with Bitcoin is governmental action to ban it or prohibit financial institutions in transacting in Bitcoin. I have no doubt that governments will try to curtail the use of Bitcoin. It will be very hard for it to be shut down since it isn’t beholden to any government. But make no doubt, that is a concern I am considering in choosing to invest in it.
But to answer your question the failure of fiat currencies should do nothing but increase the value of Bitcoin.

i don’t plan to act on it this week due to pending earnings, but I would probably say $FOSL as well. Depending on how it behaves leading into earnings I could see taking a half position into earnings either long or short with the ability to be flexible post earnings or at least control my losses.
$key is actually also back to an interesting spot. That could be playable if the higher lows hold.

Save your cash, August is going to be a chop fest to the downside. Wait for September FED meeting before deploying real dollars. Enjoy the summer while it lasts, and look fwd to football season!
HES has always been a poorly managed company that is played by big money for a rapid gain, classic pump and dump.
Currently they are hiring Indians trying to cut costs, we’ll see how that works out.
I’m not touching oil here until I see more wells being capped but when HES snaps back, it will do so furiously.
I take it back about Bitcoin being trade of the year. $HYG puts will earn that honor by Christmas. Oil and gas bankruptcies are starting and should accelerate into the fall as hedges roll off and credit line redeterminations are made. Here’s a hint at what banks are going to decide into $30 oil: no more credit.
Look at what it did in September 2008 for an analogue. These options are so damn cheap. You could make a fortune on just a 20-30% pullback and this thing has potential beyond that IMO. I’m going to start with some September expiries ranging from ATM to slightly OTM and look to add as it collapses.
