Long BIDU 162.5 weekly calls off the open, and picked up quick swings in ISR and BORN. Still holding MOBI from yesterday.
Stocks are moving, volatility is contracting.

Just watch that head and shoulders pattern. As long as the Dow and SPX stay firm, stay with the theme of long value, short growth. Long EEM, Short QQQ.
What a tough market… i’ve largely been on the sidelines over the past month (which looks like has been a good move for my own sanity). The one move i did make was shorting the QQQ’s, and that hasn’t been easy either. I bought some May 23rd QQQ $85.50 puts back on April 24th. And they are only slightly profitable.
Dammit. Not even fslr can get a pop on spectacular earnings

Today has not been a great day. Breaking all types of rules this past month.
LEN/RYL entries about as easy as anything to manage right here. What else am I looking at?…VRA back down to support again in a couple days, ECL, and the aforementioned aerospace defensive plays HII, LMT, GD, TXT, NOC. OMER when it pulls down further to form a handle. Not trading much at all, but if I had to…those are some names I’ll look at. and probably SOXS or SOXL put, but I’d probably wait around for better entries in those.
sold HAL for a 100% gain so I could average down in my FEYE position. Someone take away this keyboard from me.
I don’t get it. FSLR had great ER, AH pop, then crashing. Global warming report helps FSLR, I thought but,,,. I’m still holding. Are you still holding as an investment ? Thanks.
I don’t think you are asking me but I am holding FSLR. I believe they are the best of breed in Solar and I believe that Solar is the next big thing in energy and will require patience.

Yeah, been talking this for a long time. Buy value, short growth. I thought it would give way today, but this is further evidence that the money leaving growth is buying value.

I liked CRM, QIHU, FB and WDAY as shorts this week. Hard to find anything else. Look at casinos possibly.
FSLR is another example of the environment we’ve transitioned to. if your a four letter symbol with some kind of high metric, whatever it is, regardless of reporting, youre gonna get attacked buy short sellers
FSLR became value stock, I believe. P/E 18.63 P/S 2.04 P/B 1.49 seems not high metric, still attacked, doesn’t make sense, but that’s market does. I hope FSLR pay div though.

yes, I found it intersting that it hit that primary trend line again…but forgot it reports tonite. anyways i am around 50% under now. rather just see if they can blow out tonite…i feel like with all the implied volatility pricing the big risk to the downside that maybe they got it wrong for SUNE.
Perhaps the people that we’ve lost along the way are now sitting at home playing video games, supporting EA and the like.
