I’m not one to publicly pat myself on the back, but we’re in the midst of what I consider to be a prediction of epic proportion.
Last week in After Hours with Option Addict we laid out a market roadmap, which consisted of the following.
I didn’t buy into Friday’s big rally. Breadth was lousy and social media stocks, solar stocks, and various other momo stocks were on the edge of an abyss.
On Friday I said to wait for a buyable dip mid week, or the condition that social media stocks, which I recommended loading up on, diverged against the broad market. In other words, we wanted them green in a red tape (yesterday).
I also wanted to see TWTR stop going down, which I believe happens today.
The last condition was to see the Nasdaq and Russell hold up better than the overall market. Yesterday they were flat while the Dow and S&P were off by .25%.
My entire book is ripping. If the $RUT takes out 1100, we should be clear for take-off.

i have 4% of my portfolio in Dec 6 235’s.
I tried to add another 1% in yolo 215’s. It was sitting on the bottom trend line so perfectly that I felt confident going large because I had a quick stop out point.
just sold 1/3 position in lnkd, up 57% since this morning…holding 2/3 for more ups..

Technically I wouldn’t call that a volume pocket. Going back 10 years, it has actually traded quite a bit in that 28-32 range.

I had it as a short coming into today. It’s a shame because it was such a good short setup…flagging on light volume after the earnings implosion, just waiting to get sucked into the volume pocket below. I was hoping it would be immune to Jeff’s social media call, but the rising tide made the turd float. Was able to salvage some premium, but I was really disappointed the trade didn’t pan out.
