Nor does Obama apparently need anyone’s permission to kill Americans far from any battlefield. He doesn’t need Congress, he doesn’t need the Supreme Court, he doesn’t even care about the US Constitution which requires that every American accused of a crime must face his/her accuser in court and prepare a defense against the accusations. He’s a fucking tyrant now and has proven he will kill any fucking American he doesn’t like based on his own fucking judgement. Don’t need no stinkin’ courts, no stinkin’ Congress, no stinkin’ accountability. Tyranny all over again. We need another revolution.

Sorry but if you thumbed that down, you’re an asshole.

Hey I got an idea, let’s survey a bunch of apes and genocidal morons and see what they think about our own life and death situation and whether the monkeys believe we should send our troops into battle. We shall decide the matter based on a majority monkey referendum.

Panetta consistently restricts his talk about seeking legal cover from international bodies to actions where the US desires to create a coalition of nations to take action together.

He summarizes the position at 6:59+

It’s an approach that helps reduce internal opposition in the countries we want joining the coalition. It also tends to reduce and redirect the reactions by nations who are opposed to the action.

And, like every President has since the War Powers Resolution was passed, Obama believes that the WPR is an unconstitutional restriction on his powers to direct use of the US military.
