moral of the story – don’t mess w Barack or end up like Bin Laden
re the ‘damning’ vid —- I’m damn sure it would have derailed his chances for term 2
Juice, the video will be out in fewer than 10 days. As for derailing his chances, doubtful. Leftists will do anything, believe anything to stay in power. That moral relativism thingy allows for quick and decisive elimination of cognitive dissonance.
You and Jake lose a lot of your credibility when you demonize any and all who have a different view of the world.
Fair-minded criticism would be creditable, but come on, “Leftists will do anything, believe anything to stay in power” is pure sophistry.
There is no difference between the left and right when it comes to the desire to get re-elected. They are all bought and paid for, fully corrupted by money.

So.
Yes, Saul Alinsky taught them well. Immorality is excusable, as the ends (a communist Utopia with pink ponies and rainbows) justify the means.
I doubt the original video will be out in 10 days. If Breitbart was really assassinated over it, no video will be forthcoming.
Wait and see…
Note that Nice does not remark on the moral relativism, nor does he deny that the leftists will do anything, say anything, and (for a time) believe anything to stay in power. His only argument is to say, “Wait! Wait! The other side does it too!!!”
Bannon says they’ll release it within 10 days. I do not believe he was assassinated.

Seriously? That’s the best you’ve got?
None of it is excusable. On either side. A pox on ALL their houses. And a pox on yours if you fail to see the problem that blind partisanship adds to it all.
Thankfully, I think you’re smarter than that. So, what is your excuse for unthinkingly supporting one half of them?
I’m not really interested in what Nice has to say, in response.
If you read Alinksy’s “Rules for Radicals,” it becomes clear that the goal is so utterly important to these people (today’s right _and_ left, by the way) that any immoral action is fair game.
Alinsky borrowed from Italian communist Antonio Gramsci, who created what’s known as “transformational Marxism.”
It hides. It lies. It avoids detection at all costs. It ridicules the truth. It’s the wolf in sheep’s clothing.
DIRECT QUOTES:
2. Of Means and Ends
“The end is what you want, the means is how you get it. Whenever we think about social change, the question of means and ends arises. The man of action views the issue of means and ends in pragmatic and strategic terms. He has no other problem; he thinks only of his actual resources and the possibilities of various choices of action. He asks of ends only whether they are achievable and worth the cost; of means, only whether they will work. … The real arena is corrupt and bloody.” p.24
“The means-and-ends moralists, constantly obsessed with the ethics of the means used by the Have-Nots against the Haves, should search themselves as to their real political position. In fact, they are passive — but real — allies of the Haves…. The most unethical of all means is the non-use of any means… The standards of judgment must be rooted in the whys and wherefores of life as it is lived, the world as it is, not our wished-for fantasy of the world as it should be….” pp.25-26
“The third rule of ethics of means and ends is that in war the end justifies almost any means….” p.29
“The seventh rule… is that generally success or failure is a mighty determinant of ethics….” p.34
“The tenth rule… is you do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral garments…. It involves sifting the multiple factors which combine in creating the circumstances at any given time… Who, and how many will support the action?… If weapons are needed, then are appropriate d weapons available? Availability of means determines whether you will be underground or above ground; whether you will move quickly or slowly…” p.36
Apparently, Michelle Obama referred to these words during her Democratic National Convention speech:
“She said, ‘Barack stood up that day,’ talking about a visit to Chicago neighborhoods, ‘and spoke words that have stayed with me ever since. He talked about ‘The world as it is’ and ‘The world as it should be…’ And, ‘All of us driven by a simple belief that the world as it is just won’t do – that we have an obligation to, fight for the world as it should be.”
Nice, where have I “unthinkingly supporting one half” of something?
Infowars is just as good as msnbc if you know what I mean.
By the way, the only news I will watch is on msnbc. I like to be entertained.
You’re all fucking nerds.
I find the manner in which MSLSD employees speak to be intolerably irritating so I cannot bear to watch them. Similarly, CNN clowns like wolf blitzer. I simply cannot bear to watch.
I’ll put money on this with anyone. I call bullshit. Infowars.com? C’mon!
i’ll put money on 0b0z0 starting race riots.
There you go drummer, you just let your racist slug of a face show. We know who you really are and why you don’t like Obama now.
Spooky plays the race card. Well done. Perhaps you could enlighten me… What about drummer’s comment was racist?
Indeed, and why wouldn’t I? I quote “…Obozo starting race riots.” Why would drummer make such a comment if he isn’t making a play on Obama’s race? He can say a lot of other things. Like “Obama can’t get the country back on track.” A million possibilities.
Let me put it another way: Say obama was jewish and drummer boy said: “Obozo will get the jews to steal all your money.”
If that’s not racism, then I don’t know what is. And if he wants to taunt me, that’s fine, but I’ll call him on it. Moreover, I don’t see why you have to jump in and defend him. You work here, right? So you’re going to defend that comment. Seriously?
Spooky, evidently you see everything in terms of race. No matter what is said about Obama, you will see it in terms of his race.
Let me give you an example. This quote is from a 9/2/2008 op-ed by entitled We Need Obama, Not 4 More Years of George Bush, by Fatimah Ali:
“If McCain wins, look for a full-fledged race and class war, fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness – and hopelessness!”
Now tell me, is Ali a racist? If yes, why? If no, why not?

hey spooky, have some real nut, and drop the Y in your name………. race baiter.
Wood, you’re going to continue defending this guy?
Spooky, answer my question to you.
Wood, you’re going to continue defending this guy?
I’ll answer your question, but you still haven’t answered mine. My question to you is: Are you really willing to defend the comments I called out?
Here’s my answer: It’s fallacious to compare my comment to the one’s made by Ali. Drummer made explicitly derogatory comments based on racist prejudices. Whatever you might think of Ali, and I don’t know her or think very highly of these comments. She doesn’t use race to put anyone else down. So your analogy is entirely false.
Now, answer my question: Do you seriously, as a person of some responsibility on this site, want to defend the vicious comments made above and subsequently?
Spooky,
1. This debate is about you playing the race card, not about me defending anything other than the right to make the statement “0b0z0 starting race riots.”
2. Drummer simply said “0b0z0 starting race riots.” Ali implied that McCain would start race riots.
3. Drummer didn’t use race to put Obama down. He said he would start a race riot. Ali said the same thing. She didn’t use McCain’s race to put him down, but she did say that McCain would start a race riot. Thus, the analogy stands.
4. You are a race baiter. You baited Drummer, and now you’ve gotten what you were after.
I’m a race baiter? Who promted drummer to make the comments that he did? Did I? Show me where I egged him on to make the following comments. I didn’t bait him. All I did was point out where race peeped its ugly little head out in HIS COMMENTS. Does race show up in my comments anywhere before he mentioned it? No.
So where do you get off calling me that?!@ You have some chutzpah, I’ll tell you.
“Spooky says:

That my friend is the race card, played in all its glory.
And yes, you were clearly baiting him with that comment.
Wood, I will make a further comment.
Fly’s response to my original comment was perfect. He understood the humor and responded with the light touch that it called for. For fuck’s sake, it was banter. That’s what gentlemen do. They banter.
Drummer’s comments were nothing of the sort. They were hateful, and that’s why I called him out on it.
Here’s my ethical test for people: If you’re walking down the street and you see a poor jewish/black/whatever kid getting the shit kicked out of him by some good ol’ boys for no reason at all, what do you do? There are some who join in for fun, and some who step up to save that kid.
This is a financial site and we’re all here to make some money, learn something, have a few laughs. But that doesn’t mean that it’s anything goes nastiness.
My two cents.
Spooky, what Drummer has offered since my original post is not what we are debating.
Please explain what about “Obama will start a race riot” is hateful. You could do a google search and probably find hundreds of variations on that theme, said about all politicians of races, on TeeVee and in the print media. That is a standard accusation levied by both the left and the right against each other. Your outrage was faux, and was only to bait Drummer. Thus, the race card.
In fact your example demonstrates your bias. You see Drummer as the “good ol’ boy” kicking the shit out of “a poor jewish/black” person, except for you that person was Obama. Not everything is about race. Typically, when the race card is played, it means that you have no more to offer to the debate.
When you race-bait, expect nastiness.
I was not aware that you and Drummer had previous history. Obviously you do. I was in error to get involved in a nasty fight between you two. Had I known that you had history, I would not have bothered to offer my input.
Frankly, your position is off. You put the cart before the horse. Race baiting implies that I’m egging him on to say something racist, and you cannot say that. He FIRST made racist comments, and only then did I call him out on it. Calling someone out on racism or whatever is not baiting. It makes no sense.
But I’m done with this conversation. I think what transpired is pretty clear and pretty unfortunate.
Spooky, exactly. You did egg him on. He did not say anything racist, as proved by the analogy with Ali’s op-ed. All that was said was that he believed Obama would start a race riot. You were not able to prove this statement to be racist, and I gave you a fairly simple example of how it was used prior, and not considered racist. In fact you did not call Ali a racist for saying virtually the same thing as Drummer.
So, he said something that was not-racist, and you called him a racist for saying it.
I agree, it is pretty clear and unfortunate. You two obviously have history of these kinds of arguments. It would behoove both of you to keep your battles out of the comments section.
It would behoove me to keep these out of the comments sections? I egged him on? No, he made racist comments FIRST. How is that egging on? And yes, saying Obama will start race riots is racist.
You really have chutzpah. To be honest, you should apologize for calling me a race-baiter.
Spooky, stop, you have lost the debate. You refused to call Ali a racist for the same type of statement that Drummer made. Given two equal statements, you said one is racist and one is not. This is obviously impossible.
It is really interesting to have this discussion on a Breitbart thread. Breitbart was called a racist thousands of times, yet anyone who knew him, white, black or otherwise, knew he was no racist. The race card is played by the media to stop a debate in which they cannot win, and Breitbart called them on this fact over and over.
The rumor is that the videos will show Obama scheming in college to use race and class warfare to achieve his ideological goals.
In fact, this thread shows why that is so powerful. Drummer could not even say that Obama would start a race riot without being called a racist.
Indeud, a race war could be started, and anyone who calls it such will instantly be called a racist. This is why race/class wars are so effective as political tools. There is almost no offense that can be used against it. If you call it what it is, then you automatically become the enemy. An effective race war ensures that no one can speak against it without becoming further proof that the war is necessary.
drummerboy is cool. the dude says it as he sees it. the race card or the they do it too! card. be classic 0bama dicksuckers that worship the prez for some stupid bitch reason. it never has anything to do with policy. it is pathetic and obvious but it is what it is.
I had to lol at drummer boys mention of “Jewish babes.” We Jews reading that are wondering, isn’t that an oxymoron? I should have enrolled in your school.
Jk jk of course, I plan to marry Jewish.
Seriously, Mad? I grew up in Lawng Island and most of the Jewish girls I hung with were babes.
You ought to google “Bar Rafaeli” one of these days…
_____________
Wait till you marry one!
I would roll the dice for Bar.
And guess what, no woman — or marriage — is perfect. You make due.
_______
Of course man, I was just jokin around… Who the hell wouldn’t want to marry bar rafaeli lol
