Fueled by Tea Party supporters, conservatives and high-interest GOP primary voters, former Godfather’s Pizza CEO Herman Cain now leads the race for the Republican presidential nomination, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
And in yet another sign of how volatile the Republican race has been with less than three months until the first nominating contests, the onetime frontrunner, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, has plummeted to third place, dropping more than 20 percentage points since late August.
“Cain is the leader … That’s the story,” said Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff.

Cain during the debate:
“My advisers come from the American people. Now, I will have some experts. One of my experts that helped me to develop this is a gentleman by the name of Rich Lowrie out of Cleveland, Ohio,” Cain said during the debate. “He is an economist, and he has worked in the business of wealth creation most of his career.”
But…
So who is Rich Lowrie? The Gates Mills resident has a bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Cleveland’s Case Western Reserve University. He is a wealth-management consultant and a managing director at a Wells Fargo branch in Pepper Pike. He is a licensed stockbroker.
What he’s not is an economist, at least according to his public profiles on LinkedIn and Twitter. For most of the national media hungry for more information about this mysterious member of Cain’s inner circle, those two social networks have been the only sources of information.
And…
t Tuesday’s debate, Cain, the former Godfather’s Pizza chief executive, said he also has “a number of other well-recognized economists that helped me develop this 9-9-9 plan. It didn’t come out of a pizza box, no.”
Pressed to name his other advisors, Cain again referred to Lowrie.
Asked whether he voted for the clueless, inexperienced, community organizer for President based soley on a leftish voting record and vague promises of “hope and change,” Ottnot answered…
“Errah… yes!”

Luckily, it is not racist to refer to Obama as a pimp, ape, or witch doctor, nor is it racist to pass around pictures showing the White House with rows of watermelon growing in place of the lawn or to forward videos of dancing African villagers as a video of a rehearsal for Obama’s inauguration. Those are okay if you explain: it is just humor; you aren’t a racist; and, in fact, your friends include some of those people.
I think he was being sarcastic
