Fuck me. I grabbed that tidbit off CNBC talking heads. I should have known better.
There are about 50 rigs either in the Gulf or considered inland water rigs. Mexico had another 28 offshore rigs end of July. Brazil had 46 but those would be out of the way of this storm.
Possible that the TH’s on CNBC were referring to production platforms rather than actual drill rigs. Semantics at play? I mean …..to those airheads a rig is a rig is a rig. Production, drill, service….they are all the same right?
