IT HAS COME TO PASS

But o’ the joy that broke this afternoon! What delicious delight, scattering my sour mood to the sound of obsessed cackling laughter. One of my designs now comes to pass.

For years I have sat on CCJ, waiting patiently, unmoving. Made of stone, I was.

Now, no more waiting, it would seem. The gargoyle springs to life; the golem lives.

Japan has begun restarting the nuclear fleet at long last!

See the results for your own eyes.

Hope it forebodes bigger things. As I read it the local governments approved the restarting and now the federal gov (if that is the correct Japanese equivalent) must approve.

CCJ reported earnings. The environment is starting to get to them. Very disappointing.

I also have decided that I hate their finance team.

Do you believe CCJ stock was appropriately valued at $40 in 2010, prior to the Fukushima incident?

I’m just trying to get an idea as to your price target for the stock. Also, whether it has changed given the most recent quarter.

      Thanks

I need to double check, I ran numbers for exactly what I thought was reasonable in the past. The takeaway was $30-40 but I don’t recall what combination of uranium price and sales volume that was built on.

I am disappointed with the market for uranium in general, and I specifically am starting to dread announcements from CCJ Finance.

This would have morphed into a V shape recovery if Japan had the stones to do what needed to be done. Instead they’ve traded an unpopular decision for extensive economic damage. I should have known the Japanese would pull shit like this. So typically hyper-conservative.

I can’t really blame them. It is their 3rd atomic disaster, after all.

My hope is that the nuclear projects here in the USA like Watts Bar 2 will be on-time and within budget. That would help convince banks to lend to other utilities interested in Nuclear- many who need to cut down on their carbon footprint.
