I am an active trader within the IBD100 because they provide a great place to search for CANSLIM-worthy and momentum swing trading stocks. Hence, I decided to merge the IBD100 with The PPT engine. I listed only the “hybrid” score (which is a combo score of the Technicals and Fundamentals) and the buy/sell recommendation. I think where The PPT prints a low score with a “strong sell” recommendation is also a great place for bears to start looking for some short ideas, because IBD100 stocks are usually high speculative stocks due to large increases in earnings. I’m happy to see one of my favorite stocks I spotted a few months ago, Almost Family, Inc. [[afam]] , has made it to #2 on the IBD100 this week. Anyway, check out the list. Nope, no program, just had a few minutes to contemplate possible lines of attack. Seeing that black Rf7 leads to mate in two moves (and therefore isn’t a possibility) is the key.

Good job! It’s called the “smothered mate.” This puzzle started off with the knight on E5 and the king already at H8 so most of the work was already done, but still, the queen sacrifice was the part most people don’t see… anyone see a market analogy here?

Volume is light everywhere. we aren’t near overbought territory on the short term, so I still wouldn’t want to short here. I’m not day trading today. maybe tomorrow at the close, as we head into Fed meeting on Wednesday. Keep it classic.

I only duck hunt a few times a year. Goats, well, uh, I guess I could wrestle them. We go to scuba/snorkel mostly. I swam with some dolphins in Maui once, pretty cool. They came right into this bay we were chilling at 10 miles NW of Lahina.
Pie Eater: You know, I’m still a fan of alternative energy, as I truly believe oil will get back to $100/barrel sometime next year, and I know it will move up the State Government’s priority. I called up one of my friends in Texas to say hi, a smart kid, and he was talking about his debate team and their theme was about alternative energy. So, we’re still in the early adapter stage as its still being debated on at the education-levels.
CSIQ and JASO were previous IBD community favorites because of their growth numbers. I haven’t checked up on their latest earnings, but I like them here for the long term.
For now, JASO looks like a good day-tradable stock.

i too believe oil will be back… historically it is suppose to go down this time of the year. so, no surprise. but the question is who is in office Nov 4. either way, OPEC will cut production. i am looking at USO calls once we get to <50.
