I will delve into the shaking and stirring taking place in the small caps today after the closing bell, on my daily video market recap. For now, though, note the IWM (ETF for the small cap-led Russell 2000 index) has soundly broken its major support trendline since the October 2011 lows. Just as soon as it broke it, though, price is also entirely below its lower Bollinger Band, which usually denoted very oversold conditions. This gives us an interesting technical backdrop which, again, I will discuss on the recap today.
