What’s the Deal?

I’m feeling better today after going on a maniacal rant last night. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still seriously mad at Google, just not “ant-virus software” mad. One of the things about delivering content to people that I despise, are the trolls. I’ve made some amazing trades lately, while trying to deliver original content, yet you have guys like this dropping comments on “The Fly’s” blog:

No reason, and doesn’t respond to “Frog.” I shouldn’t give this guy attention, but I just wonder what his beef is? Is it my language or aggression? Does he not like my trading style? You end up just having to let it go, but the thing I really don’t get is how someone can troll RC or Chess? They’re two of the nicest guys in the world, never boasting, or saying a foul thing about anyone, yet they can still have trolls? Are these folks just so unhappy in their day to day lives that they have to take it out on others? I’ll troll Tim Sykes, but that’s because he is a piker of the first order. I won’t go out of my way to do it though, unlike these folks. RC and Chess never boast about their apartments overlooking central park, in fact they are extremely humble, so I just don’t get it.

It’s like this whole T’eo thing, what the heck happened to us? Why is there so much impersonation out there, people living fake lives, etc? “I’m gonna go play ‘dress up tough guy’ today, where I sit in front of my computer and act really tough in front of people who have no idea who I am.” Right? That’s stupid, like me pretending I’m not one second away from going ballistic at any given moment. It’s gotten so bad now, that people are finding out the names of people interviewing for jobs in front of them, then calling the firm saying they are the other person and that they will not be interviewing for the position, they then just so happen to show up an hour early.

Instead of working hard, people would rather impersonate someone who has worked hard to get the first interview spot? It’s a crazy age we live in.

  1. Keep on keepin’ on, Rhino. Internet trolls simply mean that you are building a reader base.

  2. You don’t like Rhino’s blog? Then don’t read it.

  3. Count me in as one that really appreciates your blog posts, Tweets and the way you “keep it real”. For every troll there’s probably a hundred others that sincerely appreciate your effort. Keep up the great work.

  4. Trolls and the Internet are like chicken and the egg. I used to frequent usenet so I can vouch for trolls being around since the mid 90’s at least.

  5. I Appreciate your blog Rhino,

theres alot of trolls, ignore em.

The ones who appreciate you don’t normally speak out, but when it comes to the time.

    Like now, we will

  6. as my grandmammy said – ‘don’t give it no mind, son’

Rhino, I know its part of the territory. Just following FLY the last few years and almost daily he gets a douche or two and then bans them. That is nuts about your Google account. I am sure the plus account was hacked since you said you never used it.

  8. most internet trolling is funded by and done on behalf of hostile foreign governments as part of their psy ops efforts in order to try and demoralize normal Americans into thinking our society is full of trolls and worthless hacks.

It’s an extremely cheap and somewhat effective way to try and poison our culture and get us to be discouraged.

  9. fuck’em all,is what i say.just keep doin what your doin.

  10. Ignore them Rhino, they must be long AAPL and DDD
