I will looking to purchase [[HL]] with continued strength in Gold & Silver. Technically, the stock looks poised to breakout, it might be wise to keep it on your radar.

The double bottom is one of my favorite setups to daytrade on a nasty open. A great example can be found by reviewing LDK’s 5 min intraday chart.

Do you see the double bottom @ $8.50? This gives you a great place to buy with a clear exit point. You want to place your stop trigger right below the double bottom price, once set, you are now free to let the stock run while risking very little capital.

On big down days, such as this morning, I like to run screens to see what’s trading higher on above average volume.

When [[FSLR]], the leader of solar, hits $200, it’s time to take notice. We can view the overall group by looking at the ETF that tracks the group, [[TAN]]:

Looking at the above chart, I notice a nice bullish inverse head and shoulders pattern that is bumping up against resistance.

We have a few things to watch that could possibly fuel a move pass resistance: Higher oil, Obama’s green plan, and possibly good earnings from [[LDK]] tomorrow.

After the day solar had today, I will be monitoring the sector closely.

I’m having a great day filled with solar burritos. Just take a look at one of my long term positions [[JASO]], it is on a mission for higher prices. I also purchsed [[LDK]] at the open @ 9.47, so far so good.
