Star Wars Pre-Sale Has Already Reached $50 Million

With still a month to go before its first showing, the new installment of Star Wars has already reached 50 million in ticket sales. As of now, Jurassic World holds the record for opening week sales at 208 million, but something tells me Star Wars will be the new record holder.

One guy spent over two grand and bought every ticket to the first showing just so he could watch the movie by himself:

I think it’s safe to say that Disney’s ($DIS) $4 billion investment in Lucus Films will pay dividends for years to come. I, for one, cannot wait to see the film.

Here’s a look at Disney’s stock price:

Love DIS – my top holding and has been for a while now. Can’t wait to see this new film undo the crap first three.

Should be a great film, hope so.
DIS chart looks like a monster bubble, double top with RSI divergence.
Get out on Monday, doubt you’ll see these prices again for a decade.

Sure sign the world is in the second great depression. Sad but true. Fantasy movies back in the 1930’s were flickers about wealthy people getting high and all. This time non stop comic book movies and star wars. It is okay tho. The free money keeps stocks bid. Rich people rich and spits a few nickels to the poor thru free everything. But only enough spending money to go get lost in a movie.

And Tiffany’s brother is a low life ticket scalper, not a rich hermit. He’s sitting in a Lincoln for Pete’s sake, not a Bentley.
