Fitbit Record

I was an early adopter to the Fitbit, thanks in part to a friend of the site Marc David. I never seem to be faithful with the product, but every once in a while I have my moments with the device.

My record I believe is 33,000 steps in one day. Not anything to brag about, but I remember being dead tired that night? Anybody have a day record for number of steps using this device? I would love the hear it.

Anyway, I’m eying a possible long here in the stock. I love the price pattern on the daily timeframe and if I can get this a little lower I may give it a try on the lower end of the range with a tight stop.

Developing…

RC – I’ve never done the Fit it or any other pedometer, but am curious as to what your activities were on the 33k day? Some sort of marathon?

My husband wears one and loves it. We moved yesterday and he logged about 31k steps.

Started early.. Did it to specifically beat this Tom Venuto guy… Pretty much moved all day. I recall walking around the block at 9pm. I think the next day I got 4000 steps. Hips hurt.

I just don’t get the appeal of a product that tells me how many steps one takes. And what do you do with this invaluable info? If you walk backwards does it subtract? Just moronic.

It’s just a simple way to keep your activity levels on a daily basis in mind. I don’t use it for too much else. I was surprised a lot of people think the average person gets 10k steps a day. More like 5k. And sitting is a death sentence. It’s just a cheap reminder to move for me. Nothing else.

Yup. Set my goal to 10k a day. All it does is to get your ass moving every day, but it has definitely helped in getting me more active on a daily basis.

Been going all natural for about 2 years now. Not even protein powder, just making sure to eat well. In the last 6-9 months hit a plateau on bench and squat. Annoying.

I have replaced the fitbit with an apple watch. I’m not knocking the fitbit, but there’s no reason to wear two devices. If I was a FIT shareholder, I’d be concerned about that last sentence.
