Went with the $AAPL @ 124.88. Ex-dividend date tomorrow, but not in for that, in for the bounce. Under 121.63 low, and I will reevaluate my position.

RC, what is the point of buying a stock before ex-div if the share price gets adjusted for div payout? I know you said you’re in for the bounce but all else equal , isn’t it just a matter of getting capital gains taxed vs ordinary income?
Thx.
Been looking for another entry. The divy, just gave me the push. I never trade for dividends, ever.
Why not wait for the dividend to come out of the share price tomorrow morning and get a lower cost basis and more favorable tax treatment rather than having to claim the ordinary dividend (less than 90 day) holding?
Probably makes very little difference anyways, just a thought.
Can we get lunch on Memorial Day? I’ve got some time to kill and we live close. 😉
I will be in Destin for Memorial day. Otherwise, no doubt.
What has Cook done on his own? The iWatch, or was that already in Jobs playbook? Where’s the iTV? AWOL. Plus AAPL inks an agreement with Samsung for chips and displays, which means they have been selling sub-standard phones all along.
But as long as there are lines of iFans circling the block waiting for sub-standard devices, then AAPL continues the march forward.
So, being shareholder friendly with buybacks and dividends had nothing to do with Cook. Okay. Heard cars were close to jobs as well, hence icar rumblings. Where/when does the playbook end? I sold my basis full disclosure….
If AAPL made a phone like this iFans would be gushing in the streets but since it’s a Samsung, it’s has to be a POS.
