Agrium is “dirt cheap”, Barron’s reports
A look closer shows, demand for fertilizer, which tends to track corn prices, is likely to rebound as the global economy improves. In the meantime, Agrium is expanding its network of more than 870 retail farm centers in North and South America, in order to help reduce its dependence on commodity prices. Also, Agrium is bidding for fertilizer rival CF Industries (CF), which is bidding for Terra Industries (TRA). Win or lose, Agrium looks like a long-term winner among fertilizer concerns. Owning CF would enhance Agrium’s position in the more cyclically sensitive nitrogen and phosphate markets, and be “complementary from a geographic standpoint,” said CEO Mike Wilson. With or without CF, Wilson sees “lots of opportunity to grow.” He also predicts a stronger second half, citing pent-up demand from farmers, who held back on buying fertilizer last fall. One thing is clear: Based on multiple metrics, Agrium is dirt cheap. The stock trades for just 6.8x this year’s expected earnings of $6.11 a share and 5.8x Wall Street’s 2010 forecast of $7.14, well below other fertilizer stocks like Monsanto (MON) which trades at 20x — and the company’s historic multiple of 14x future profits. The shares fetch one to 1.5x book value, less than half their 5-year average. Richard A. Kelertas, an analyst at Dundee Capital Markets, cited such discounts when he initiated coverage of Agrium in January with a Buy rating. He later raised his 12-month price target to $C61.

    Citigroup on AAPL tonight:
    * We remain confident in our Street-high March qtr EPS estimate of $1.23 (consensus $1.09, guidance $0.90-1.00) due to sharp declines in component prices..
..Significant Gross Margin Upside…the upside comes from sharp declines in flat panel, NAND, DRAM and aluminum prices between October and February…

Below-consensus iPhone shipments should be the only negative in an otherwise positive March quarter report. … we believe investors will look through any March quarter softness.

*Reiterate Buy rating and $147 target.

from tomorrows open i can see fig getting up to $4 and change within the 1 to 2 days. if it breaks up that’s my target. one could argue it has already broken down. below 2.4 confirms this. daily trendline one shows it has broken other shows that it can still fufill the flag formation. above 2.8 i am a buyer

    Cajun,
Its Stelly!!! I am looking hard at JASO at buy price of $2.75. Also, I like MOS hoping oil to go back up to $53 per barrel. MOS is going for $38 per share. We could see it run to $44 per share if price of oil goes to $53. I hope you been doing well. Been a long since we hung out. ttyl
