So, what do we have here? Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. [[LEH]] broke down as predicted. Oil [[USO]] continues to trade lower, and Apple Inc. [[AAPL]] continues to march higher.
What have I been doing…
Ever so quietly I have been building a position in Chesapeake Energy Corporation [[CHK]] down here, I have also been building a position in [[SKF]] . I have a core position in Celgene Corporation [[CELG]] , but do not plan to add at the moment. I am also watching my RIMM position suck wind, while AAPL marches higher.
I may trade out of RIMM for AAPL, I love the strength in the name.
Two new additions to the trading portfolio yesterday:
Amazon.com, Inc. [[AMZN]]
Canadian Solar Inc. [[CSIQ]]
Nothing has changed in my view for the market– same ol’ volatility. I will continue to focus on my fantastic four: (CHK, SKF, CELG, & RIMM AAPL), while searching for breakouts.
As for AMZN, it’s headed for $100, and that will be my exit. CSIQ will be sold after earnings tomorrow morning.
Have a good day, I’m busy.

I spit on AMZN.
Why is there so much spit all over my books???
Kidding.
AMZN is the crown jewel of ‘investor gone mad.’
Does anyone pay attention to valuation anymore?
If so, I beg you (RC, Alpha) to explain why AMZN should trade higher.
Thanks

AMED !
hahahahah
You laughing at me????
it trades higher because it’s Howard’s stock of the year.
imho it’s all investor perception, it has often traded at lofty multiples that are not justified on a purely valuation basis, i.e. it’s popular.
That said, it seems set to overtake Ebay permanently in the online retailing space, which is quite an accomplishment. Look at CRM’s multiple, Amazon makes more sense than that, that’s the one I can’t figure.
I sell there but I don’t own the stock (what does that tell you). Occasionally I swing trade the options.
Ragin said in one sentence what it takes me three paragraphs to say LOL.
LEH hitting lows on the days
I spit on OSTK. If you want to hedge against AMZN, buy puts in OSTK.
