ENER has been pissing me off. i had a buy order ready last week, but i decided against it, because i felt the overall market would take it down at any moment. ooops.
Heh. CPST and FSYS are “alternative” only if you believe that natural gas is alternative.
FSYS is more of a play on urban air pollution than anything else. Which really makes it an indirect play on urbanification in industrializing nations. That makes it sound like a much better prospect than it really is.
Unless they have completely changed their stripes in the last couple years, their best markets are mega-cities in developing nations where the air is killing people. They sell a lot of after-market NG vehicle conversion kits when governing bodies start taking stiff measures to address horrific air pollution. Those measures might include things like banning 2-stroke engines or instituting odd-even driving days. NGVs often get exceptions from the restrictions.
No doubt the recent rise in oil prices has increased both customer and investor interest in FSYS, but there’s no long-term growth path for FSYS IMO. There are good reasons you don’t hear much about Toyota, Honda, GM, etc., ramping up production of factory-built NGVs, even though they would be better and cheaper than the aftermarket versions.
Not that the traders care.
