A fuck the market maker/specialist poker trick I employ: Lets say I have 500 shares to sell; Instead of putting 500 to sell at 53 or whatever, I’ll put out 500 to short, up higher. Just to hide my hand/intentions. If the short goes off, I’m flat against the box or you can do partials.
I knew GRMN was going higher because there were no shares available to short. So I hung on till 53. Could go higher, but a nice unexpected profit.
